Anyone who tells you that you can not have your dreams should look at me a little more carefully. I sleep with a hard copy of my book under my pillow tonight. It came in the mail today. I hugged the UPS man. I think I frightened him. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And it's mine.

BUY MY BOOK.

Holy poop, Toto, I do not think I'm in Kansas anymore. There is a line from Rocky horror that this group of us used to have as our motto...
RHPS DDIBI

I think I'm being it today. For real now. It's dancing queen time.

If you want to go to your local bookstore and order this, you are asking for "In Shadowside" by Elizabeth Ashe. The ISBN is 097699609X. The ISBN will help with ordering. If you order online, review. Please. Those of you that already have... thanks. You are the bee's knees.

"In Shadowside" on BarnesandNoble.com

"In Shadowside" on BAMM.com

"In Shadowside" on Amazon.com

"In Shadowside" on Amazon UK

"In Shadowside" on Amazon.ca

And as you know, "In Shadowside" can be purchased on ComStar's website.

Here it is, folks! Squee!

eta: And can I just say how trippy it is to buy your own book online? Yes, I bought one. Even though I get a few free copies of it, I bought my own book. I wanted to. I'm a dork. Who knows when those free copies will get to me, and most of those are going to the fam anyhow. I want to hold it and cuddle it like it's a darn teddy bear, ok? Yes, I plan to sleep with it under my pillow at least once. Possibly twice.

"In Shadowside" is available on Amazon UK!!!

SQUEE! Still not up in the US, but hey, right?

eta: "In Shadowside" is ALSO available on Amazon.ca now

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] geminilove_ca. Slowly but surely, folks. I appreciate everyone who's been watching for it and letting me know these things. I've only been checking regular old US Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Interesting weekend. I worked, still went out, nearly went comatose due to lack of sleep. I need to quit doing shots of tequila. I have come to that conclusion. Next time I go dancing, I will not wear heels.

If anyone watched the weather this past weekend, Texas got hit. Places in my home town flood. In fact, [livejournal.com profile] camperx and I were going under an overpass in his car when it stalled out due to flooding. There was only a brief moment of panic on my part when the car started to rock like a boat on water. Overall it was an adventure. I'll do almost anything at least once. LOL. He had to push the car while I steered it out of the water. My mom and my brother had to come to try and help. We needed a jump by then because we'd ran down the battery trying to start the car, and then it still wouldn't start yesterday because the engine was all nice and wet. It started this morning though, and he's now safe and sound back in Austin.

And apparently not horrified by the sight of me walking out this morning with my crazy bedhair, glasses, and funky gray PJs. I hope my affinity for Forrest Gump was not too frightening. It was on late last night, and I watched the whole thing. I even quoted a bit of it. I love that movie. It takes me back to a different time in my life.

I wish my book would go up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I am keeping watch.

"In Shadowside" is officially available for purchase through ComStar's website. When it has been added to Amazon and Barnes and Noble, I will post links. But I just wanted to say, you know? It's dancin' time. For real, yo. It's a party and everyone, well almost everyone, is invited. No trolls allowed. But mutha F-ing SQUEE, bitches! This is real!

I am officially living my dream today. Finally.

ETA: Please remember, if you did not order "Lycanthrope" or do not care about the discount you could get, order the book through Amazon or your local bookstore to improve the book's standing. I want to do good at this. LOL. When I have the # and links and all that, I *will* be posting them here to make this process easier.

ETA2: [livejournal.com profile] buenabuena, you rock the MF-ing Casbah! I just got the mail today. I am so lucky to have you as a friend. I so feel the love. The Chewy sticker is going on my car RIGHT NOW. You are the bee's knees, girl.

Feeling MUCH better today. Good news and visitors this weekend.

Hi all,
I am writing to let you all know that the proof for In Shadowside has been produced and approved. As of today, In Shadowside is now in print. The folks at Ingram, Baker & Taylor, etc are adding it to their catalog and it should be available for order at your local bookstore or online store or our website any day now.

I just spoke to Jennifer on msn messenger. The book has officially been tweaked and has gone to the printers. I would look for it to be available next week. SQUEE!

Also, William offers this advice to buyers... if you bought "Lycanthrope" and would like a discount on "In Shadowside", buy it through ComStar's site. If you do not care about the discount or did not buy "Lycanthrope", then please buy the novel through Amazon or through your local bookstore... because that will help the book's standing. With the local bookstore though, you'll probably have to go in and order it to be sent there. I'd love that, by the by. My cousin is already planning to go to her local Barnes and Noble and ask for her COUSIN'S book "In Shadowside". She's a loony, and I adore her.

Just so everyone knows, all writing for the next two months will be on short stories for the Carpe Noctem anthology... which is what I am taking a pause from right now to post.

So I went to brunch with [livejournal.com profile] tthjinni, [livejournal.com profile] jennie_wls, [livejournal.com profile] houses7177, [livejournal.com profile] ebony_silvers and Sarah (who needs to get an LJ). I was reminded that I had not posted officially that "Banana Moon" will be published in an anthology featuring myself and Jinni called Carpe Noctem. I couldn't believe I had not said anything about it. And the book? In Shadowside? The novel? There were a few technical things that needed cleaning up, so this week maybe? Soon though. Very soon. *rubs hands*

Back to watching HP-a-thon.

ATTENTION READERS:
Lycanthrope (the anthology) is available for purchase on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. This is the one that has my short story "Banana Moon" in it. It also features stories from the TtH authors Lucinda and JMaria ([livejournal.com profile] jbeaners48) if you are familiar with them.
spankerella: (fruity oaty bars)
I just got home from work, checked my email, and... Lycanthropes is published. It's in print. It should be available for buying in the next few days. In case you don't know why I am excited, this is the anthology that has my short story "Banana Moon" in it. I will provide a link when I have one.

I AM IN PRINT!

It's official. Now to get the last legs of the novel done. But... yay! This has been a good week, with one exception that turned out ok anyhow. I'm starting to believe now. I am a published writer. This is real. It'll be more real when I am holding a copy of the book in my hands though.

eta: "Kaylee, find that kid who's takin' a dirt-nap with baby Jesus. We need a hood ornament. Jayne, try not to steal too much of their shit."
