"It's a beaver!"

"You've got balls."
Or something like that. *goes all chant-y* Nar-Neee-uh! Nar-Neee-uh! Nar-Neee-uh!
Mr. Tumnus rocks out with his... boobs out. I wanted to get the poor faun a shirt. Badly. Mr. Beaver says something about balls that had me snorting, rather loudly, with laughter. Very inappropriate, but the line caught me unawares.
VERY true to the story. Very. They cut very little out. Sure a few things were changed, but I think it added to the story a bit. Nothing huge, in my opinion, changed.
*I really liked that they made Susan and Lucy less whimpy and willing to let Peter and Edmund do all the fighting.
*Some of the added dialogue was really funny and cute.
*I wanted to cover Mr. Tumnus's little manboobies SO BAD. He needed a shirt in the worst way.
*Tilda Swinton ROCKS as Jadis. I didn't think she'd be bad or anything, but she just plain old rocks the Casbah as the villain here.
*Aslan looked real to me. The CGI was amazing. My mind was telling me he was fake, but my eye couldn't seem to catch it. All the animals looked hella cool.
*The main Centaur dude was a badass. I liked him a lot. Him and his two swords rocked the house.
*I liked that you got to see more of the battle than in the book.
*LOVED the flying animals dropping rocks on the White Witch's army. That kicked some butt.
*LOVED the PotC: 2 preview that was on there.
*Must get a Susan icon because she rocked the house with her bow.
*Lucy and her dagger were a little scary, but in that good sort of Wednesday Addams and her weapons kind of way.
*The wolves come off MUCH scarier than in the book. Loved that. The bad guy's minions and flunkies should be a bit scary.
*I thought it was really great how awkward Peter looked with his sword the first couple of times you see him with it. Made me believe it. Of course he wouldn't know what he was doing at first.
More could be added to this upon a second viewing.

Date: 2005-12-09 11:05 am (UTC)Mel is great. She and I kind of have the same sense of humor. That's why she, I, and Aimee got along. I was never so glad to run into someone in my whole life as when we bumped into her at GoF. She's the one who REALLY got me into LotR. She's responsible for my Eowyn/Faramir thing. And she and guy E are Firefly fans. Sweet. I think they'll probably be additions to the crew from now on. Mel used to be, but we lost touch when she moved.
