I really wasn't in the mood for this sort of BS today. Because though she is doing a HEAP better, my mother still has cancer, ladies and gents. She still gets hella tired, and I am still running this household, so I said...

Boy, did you pick the wrong day to pull this crap. So not amused here. I OFFICIALLY DO NOT CARE HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mother has come home sick today. She's feeling tired and worn too. Did you know she has cancer? Did you know I am her caretaker? I give exactly TWO SHITS about what YOU need today. My concern right now is her. I know people don't know this stuff about my personal life. I know a lot of them don't care, but I am not in the mood to coddle people today just because they're in a bad mood. Fuck that. I'm in a bad mood too, and today MY bad mood takes first chair. Maybe that's unreasonale and maybe I'll feel bad about this tomorrow, but today I don't care.

Well, now that that's aside and I officially ranted all my poison out today, let's see who needs to be pointed at for fic appreciation.

I say Karen. msgordo. She is the amazing author who shares the same thought process as I do. Her gifts include Dawn/Connor fic, and some amazing Draco/Ginny moments, as well as some stunning Blaise/Luna lately. This would be the point where I toss up links to what I lovingly call her "Camp Here Freak" series, but she took them down to rewrite and fix plot holes. So until then you'll just need to read...

I'd say all the things I've said before, but... after awhile, the words dry up and no matter how much you wish and strive for patience, sometimes enough is enough. Nah, you're not being at all unreasonable. That was just a rude email. I mean, I'd love to see more of Chase Malfoy, but that's an absolutely horrendous way to ask for it. Besides, you've been writing...your muses just seem to be in the mood for one shots, not longer fics at the moment. I don't see why that idiot is complaining, or what right he/she has to.

I think it's wonderful, how you're watching your mom even though she can be annoying as hell, and if your fic writing suffers due to lack of time because of that, then let it suffer. But they should know that you probably DO have a PERSONAL LIFE. I know I certainly have one. (Granted, it's not much of one, but it takes up quite a bit of my time)

And if they're getting antsy after a paltry two months, I don't think I want them anywhere near my stuff... The update lag for this last one was eight months.

The moronic way some people treat fanfic authors makes me ashamed to be classified with such as those. Im reminded of an old joke / line i use often "Beam me up Scotty, theres no intelligent life down here"

You know from past emails... i adore Chase Malfoy, as i do the Dropverse and hell, pretty much all your work.. but i am more than willing to wait for it. You write for love, you write because thats who you are.

To anyone who loves Lady E's work, and reads her LJ here,, be patient, be thankful and most of all, be respectful.

E, I am sure that other of your loyal minions will make a similar offer, but feel free to forward such emails to those of use who take great enjoyment and satisfaction in if not dismantling, at least gently reminding people of pertinent facts.

I read this post yesterday and I can NOT believe the absolute GALL some people have. I mean, my GOD. Echo, hunny, you've been a writing machine lately. I have to bow to you. What you can turn out in a one-shot in a couple of days blows away anything I write and spend a month on.

Muses are fickle things - and one can never tell where they'll wander off to. Mine's currently buzzing around my Smallville DVD's with an evil leer, which is frustrating because I already have 3 fics from other 'verses that she won't give the time of day. So you're doing one shots - pbbhhttt.... It's Echo-fic which means it's ALLLLL good.

And if that isn't good enough for that one idiot in eleven that emails you.... send em back the finger. You've got enough on your plate, fic and real life, to let some arrogant, selfish, childish, and obviously not-housebroken lil prat spoil your mood.

BTW - I've now developed an affection for the term "asshat" thanks to you... which has left more than one person speechless when I've used it in public. Thank you.
