Bad day.

Just got off the phone with jailed brother. Suspect he is going away for a long time. Yes, I know he got himself into this mess all on his own, but I feel bad for him. He's a jerk, but he's still my little brother. Actually, I'm more upset because I know this is going to upset my mom and just devastate both my grandmas. It's too horrible to think about. And there's no one I can call to talk about this too right now. Everyone I know has a life with a real job.

I extend my sympathies to you, E. I don't really have any idea how you feel, having not had anyone I love jailed.... but I can extend my heartfelt feelings and a wish that you had someone to talk to about this.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I have a cousin who just recently got out after a 5 year sentence for robbery. The combination of sadness, and "he's a dumbass who got himself into this mess" isn't an easy one to deal with, especially watching how it hurts other family members. I know that there isn't anything I can do to help, but my thoughts are with you.

I had the same reaction when my brother went to jail. I knew he deserved it, but it didn't make it any easier, and it was hard to see my mother and my grandparents so upset about it.

Poor dear. There's nothing I can say that will make you feel better, but I'm sorry that your brother is a jerk and that he's causing your family such distress.

I know that this is a bit repetitive, but I know how you feel.

I have a friend who just got sent away for a few months. He's a dumbass for getting involved and he deserves it (although -- according to him -- there was a man with a gun), but he's still my friend.

Chin up. I'm sure that there's a silver lining in this dark cloud somewhere.

Like I said when I called - my door is always open if you need to just get away for a little while (tonight or any night for that matter). My brand of solace usually comes in the form of baked goods, though. Not so much good at the chit-chat, but I can bake cookies. lol.

I know how you feel. I have a loved one in jail there is no way to describe it.

I'm really sorry about your brother and the effect that he is having on your family. *hugs*
