about "The Savior"

HOLY HOPPING HIPPOGRYFFS, BATMAN!!!

Well, I'm damned near speechless. Karen too. We knew this would be fun. We had an idea a few of our die-hard fans would love it. We thought it clever and were quite pleased with how the first chapter turned out. We had NO IDEA "The Savior" would generate the response it has generated. Karen wanted me to thank everyone on LJ who had feedbacked us or pimped us out. She's LJ-impaired.

We're working on the second part, but be patient with us. If any of you knew how long it took us to get started on this and finally get the first part read, you would be absolutely horrified. We're hoping the second leg of this marathon won't take so long.

Again, thanks for the overwhelming support.

Is Karen still email impaired? I remember that she was like...a few weeks ago, when we were discussing LoF...speaking of which, I should update for both that and Fawkes.

Her fantastic hunk of a man bought her a laptop. She's tranferring files, but she's still getting things done. It's awesome.

By the way, my friend and me were talking about how "Alias" doesn't start until January and I made the comment, 'Well if I can wait a year for Echo to update Shadowside and do it with a song in my hear, ti can wait a few measly months for a tv show."

Totally meant it too.

Oh, good to know she has a laptop. *nods*

Totally agree on the waiting. I'm used to waiting for fics, though I'd rather know if one isn't going to be continued at all...and assume that, if it's not said, it will be continued eventually. *nods*

Just so you know, Karen and I plan on finishing our fic.

Oh, I know. I just get annoyed when people don't post anything, and then they languish for like...two years with no news.

'Well if I can wait a year for Echo to update Shadowside and do it with a song in my hear, ti can wait a few measly months for a tv show."

And that's one of the reasons I adore you.

Well, believe me, I'm not patient with anything else. I hate waiting. But for greatness? I can hold out.

Ditto.

"The Savior" completely made my crappy yesterday so much better. You two are... wonderful. I can't even read other people's HP fics anymore for the most part because I get upset when they aren't YOUR (and now Karen's) versions of the characters. Your Blaise is just...melt in the mouth yummy, as is your Draco. I love this fic. I love all of your HP fics. *grin*

Jebus.

*fat headed echo alert*

I don't even know what to say to that. 'Thank you' seems a bit inadequate.

:D

You should not be surprised that you and Karen got so much feedback. You are two of the best authors out there and you should be able to go to sleep, not worrying about your fics because no matter what, people will read them and they will enjoy them.

I know you've mentioned once that people get pissed off at you because you don't finish a fic before starting a new one and I'd like to say that's complete and utter bullshit! We don't care if you (or Karen) don't finish your fics because we're there because of the ride along the way.

Cheers,
Jez

Thank you.

I can't help but be surprised. Seriously. It's not just the amount of feedback... it's the things being said. I think Karen summed it up best in her mail to me this morning...

"Jesus Christ Monkey Balls. Is that US they're talking about?!?!??"
