We're off to stake the wizard

So the Wizard of Oz was on tonight. I think that most people who know me know that I have a deep and affectionate love for this movie. Especially for the Wicked Witch. Love her. Great cackle. Superb. I've also always felt that Glenda was about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. But I love the movie. Even if Dorothy's a bit too much of a sugar cookie, I still love her for being so sweet.

So I was thinking about what if Faith got dumped in Oz instead of Dorothy? Different movie. WAY different movie. LOL.

It wasn't on just once, but twice tonight...and last night...and Friday night. I've been listening to the Wicked soundtrack and loving the movie from the new prespective of Wicked.

So I was thinking about what if Faith got dumped in Oz instead of Dorothy? Different movie. WAY different movie. LOL.

The movie certainly wouldn't be rated G, that's for sure.

I can so see Faith getting along with the Wicked Witch of the West. She'd probably want to borrow a flying monkey or something. And she'd piss the hell out of Glenda.

I think I would have to read that story in complete solitude, because it has the possibility to be truly funny. It would be funny if it was just characters from Buffy and Angel, but it could get truly hysterical if you made it a crossover fic as well with Harry Potter

Actually, if you went true to book-canon instead of movie, I can't see Faith touching the golden cap to summon the monkeys with a ten-foot pole. The incantation is worse than the one Giles did with the magic gourd.

I love the Wizard of Oz, in nearly all its incarnations, but damn it, couldn't they have gotten their witches straight?

I *love* that movie! And I think my love for that movie grew ALOT after I was in a play 'The Wizard of Oz' it is SUCH a great movie. :)
