(no subject)

I need to finish "Jealous Face" and "The Distance to You". Don't know if I feel like writing a full part of something today. Might do a few minis.

You know what I like about cooler weather? Besides my getting to wear my fabulously funky winter wardrobe... tomato soup. Man, I love me some tomato soup. Had it with toasted cheese sandwich today. Mmmm-mmmm.

eta: We have ourselves some chickens. The folks that owned the chickens moved... and left their chickens. My mom can't bear it when animals have nowhere to go, so we have chickens. They've taken roost in one of our trees. Mom said she's gonna go to the feed store and buy some chicken scratch for them, so we've got ourselves two cute chickens. I've been calling them Harry and River.

to do, Jayne, and chickens again

Ever had a dream that bothered you well into the day for thinking about and remembering it? It's distracting me big time, and I'm trying to touch up the first leg of the Dawn/Connor fic requested at [livejournal.com profile] the_fund, so I can get it posted before I head off to work tonight. I'm not gonna bore anyone with the details of the dream, but let's just say I've been watching too much Firefly lately and definitely had Jayne on the brain.

Also... the chickens are back. I'm wibbling about calling animal control, because they seemed to have found some shrubbery of ours that they like sitting under. They aren't hurting anything, and they aren't running around out in the street.

to do list:
* next part of Eternal Sunshine
* next next part of Eternal Sunshine
* finish Duets with a Remus/Dru and a Faith/Charlie
* next part of Trick of the Light
* smutty piece with Marcus/Katie
* I owe [livejournal.com profile] carinthea a fic
* The Distance to You, a 5 part Dawn/Connor fic
* One Spike-centric fic with Luna as his second

chickens

So... there were chickens in our yard just now. I wasn't sure if I should call animal control or not. I know I live in a poor neighborhood, but damn. Chickens. Who has chickens? Well apparently somebody has them around here.
