the good and the bad
Nov. 9th, 2005 09:50 pmLots of stuff tonight before I go to bed. I friended three new people that I met tonight because, well, I *LIKED* them. LOL. Not to go all weird, but I am so glad I finally met
ebony_silvers. She's so great. I liked her instantly. She's got good storytelling ability too. It's no wonder to me that she's a writer. Just listening to her talk was great. Also, about a year after I had wanted to and thinking I never would since she moved out of state, I finally met
houses7177. I wish we all had not had to get back to our homes. I could have talked with that crew all night. I had a lovely time, and Mihan, anytime you're in DFW, I'd hang for dinner with you. I'm glad the spoon rest seemed to match too. I picked it because it was the most colorful. I can't wait to see those pictures uploaded if you upload them. I'd like to snag a few. Especially the one of myself and Jinni where I accidentally smirked. Oh and thank you for the stickers. Especially the frogs. I usually have at leats one sheet of some kind of frogs. I'd just run out. Very timely of you.
Also, I am really glad
tthjinni moved to DFW. I don't know if I've said that, but I am. She's just like I can be about fan things. The biggest being books. My goodness, she gets the books. She's also keeping me in good reads. We went to Branes and Noble earlier before dinner and she was like "whenever you thinkwe should leave..." I was all "Are you kidding? This is where the books live". I love bookstores. It's fitting, I think. I think the first time I see a book of mine in a bookshop, I might cry.
So this is where it's bad. It took me almost an hour to get home from Jinni's when usually it only takes about 30 minutes. Tell me why in the hell they had 3 of the 4 southbound lanes of Loop 12 where the I-30 exit is blocked off. I was stuck in stinking traffic at 10:30 at night. Awful.
My mom had a doctor's appointment today. She's been extra tired lately plus her arm on the masectomy side was hurting yesterday and today. She has a bacterial infection in her arm. It's not bad. They've given her antibiotics. She said it already feels better... which is good. She had a bone scan last week and that came back good. No cancer in her bones. But they did find fluid around her heart. She didn't act worried about it, but *I* am. She's having it drained next week and I'm going with her. It'll either be on Tuesday or Wednesday. The fluid is why she's been coughing so much and been so tired.
And now I am going to read a bit then go to bed. Job interview tomorrow.
