spankerella: (crap)

I was voted WLS's author of the month for January... a promising start to the new year. Whoever decided to vote for me... thank you.

So I'm sitting here eating the number one gross-out to others that I eat... yogurt and granola... mixed. Just some nonfat lemon yogurt with granola in it in a bowl. I've been told it looks suspiciously like chunky puke. It's tasty though. I like yogurt. I like lemons. I love lemons. I could just peal a lemon and eat it like an orange. I'm very citrus. I like grapefruits too. And limes. I think diet Coke with lime is the greatest invention Coke has ever had. I like lemon in my tea as opposed to sugar. But that's not the point of this post. Sorry for the tangent.

I actually banned someone at Cauldron Chronicles. I might have been wrong to act so hasty, but she definitely broke one of Jasper's big no-nos. She spammed. But I was kinda feeling bad about it. So I was gonna ask J if I could, you know, give her another chance. Just put her on moderated posting or something. I'm a big believer in second chances.... being a big believer in imperfection and the serious lack of actual perfection in the world. Then the ban-ee mailed me... arguing about it, and being sorta tacky. AND... typing in netspeak. *eye twitch* But I held it together. I replied, stating why I had banned her, carboned Jasper, and said that I would let the listmum decide her fate. Sorry to pawn it off on you, J, but I wasn't about to start the new year by having a hissy fit over some little assclown who can't be bothered to read the VERY ACCESSABLE list rules at cc.

It just irritated me. And she tried to use the "I didn't know" defense. I'm sorry. I know J. She rarely accepts excuses, and she sure doesn't ever take that one. Then little miss sent me a second mail arguing that the post was not spam. Sorry. It was. It was an online petition that had nothing to do with HP or HP fanfic. Then she demanded for me to prove I had never been off topic before. I never said I hadn't been. But I sure don't go posting OT petitions to a list run by Jasper without asking permission... which she didn't. I checked THAT out before I banned her. What an asshat. It was made all the more annoying by the fact that both her mails were in netspeak. I despise people who type like that. I *DESPISE* it!

On another note... I sang last night. Like for real. Belted even. You guys know I never sing. Karaoke. And if I had been seriously drinking, or if they'd had any Ramones songs on the playlist, it could have been WAY more disasterously embarrassing. I am so not comfortable with the sound of my own voice.

Really? People find yogurt with granola disgusting? I love that stuff. Eat it all the time...it's yummy.

I'm very much going to have to agree with you there....it's an extremely yummy combination. Just so long as you don't look too closely at the...lumps and...color...

and here I was thinking I was the only person who liked that combination! Only I like it in peach yogurt. (I'm a peach freak!) Hey, there is no bad in yogurt and granola!

I think it's more what it looks like, not how it tastes. I mean, even i will admit it looks pretty gross when I use lime yogurt.

May I say granola and yogurt, yum! I live in a town with a Dannon yogurt plant so I grew up on the stuff. Oh, and may I say strawberry yogurt with colored sprinkles stills brings a smile to my face. Try it. It's almost like ice cream. Oh, and sorry about your dork at Cauldron Chronicles. You tried to give her a chance, but like everyone else who posts there we play by the rules or face Jasper. :) Well, hope you have a great New Year! I hope all your dreams for the year comes true.

Well, I just don't get why she got all nasty about it. Like that was gonna make me go all "Oh ok, you're not banned then".

Happy New Year to ya!

Mmmm. Yoghurt and granola is my breakfast of choice. I've actually been known to turn down warm pain au chocolat in favour of that particular combination.

Don't they even make yogurt that comes with a little cuppy thing of granola with it? And I totally agree about Diet Coke with Lime. It's even replaced regular Coca Cola as my drink of choice.

As for the banning, that sort of shit is why I'm in the HP fandom - I fled the anime one I was in after getting fed up with being in control of mailing lists.

Sad thing about the banning... it was a HP list. Grrr. I just like the Jasper expects her lists to be uber modded.

HP lists aren't immune from idiots, from what I hear - I just don't have to run any of them, for which I'm infinitely glad.

They don't have issue with taste, I suppose. It's more looks.

Chunky puke. I guess it kinda does, depending on what flavor yogurt. I've had people tell me that too. *shrug* to each their own, I guess.

Oh god, netspeak. My little sister has very good spelling and grammar but used netspeak all the time. I explained. In no uncertain terms.
It did make me realise that a lot of people have no idea that you look pretty stupid if you use it in the wrong place.

raspberry yogurt and broccoli (or any raw vegtable)...though i believe i like this combo because i'm a lil strange, not because it's a cultural thing. i also eat peanut butter on french toast and waffles.

Never tried the broccoli and yogurt thing, but peanut butter is good on almost everything. Even pickles. mmm

I once had someone submit a fic written in netspeak--and it wasn't a joke. When I rejected it, the author said she always types like that with her friends and stuff, so she didn't see what was wrong with it. *facepalm*

OMGess. YOU WIN. Ug. I do not see how you do it some days. Especially with as many hardcore trolls as you seems to have. I could never mod an archive. I'd go insane.

Interesting combination

Interesting combination, I’m going to try that tomorrow. It will prove to be interesting; I enjoy grossing-out my little sister and if it actually tastes good it would be a HUGE plus! (Never mix cola with lemonade and Smirnoff, its discusting!)

And something I wanted to ask, has that (maybe) plagiarist already answered you?

O yeah before I forget! You were totally in your right with that little spammer, it is so annoying!!!! Lots of love, -xxx- Jojo

If you are a cereal fan, vanilla yogurt mixed with most cereals is a tasty treat too. Adding in fresh fruit makes it yummier too. The best to me is ganols, vailla yougurt and fresh strawberries. The grossest-looking yogurt with granola is lime because it's pale green.

No, the borrower has not replied.

As for the spammer... well, Jasper's all annoyed about the mails she sent to me about more than the actual spam.

I tried one, the one with the fresh strawberries. It tasted GREAT!
Thanks for the great idea/recipe. I’m certainly going to try the other things you recommended.

And most suck for you that the borrower hasn’t replied yet.

Once more thanks for the recipe,
Lots of love,
Jojo –xxx-

Netspeak!

*shudders* I despise netspeak! I am absolutely on board with you banning that spammer. And I don't think there's much more you COULD have done, in the name of fairness. Honestly!! The rules are right out there for everyone to see, and we do get fairly regular reminders of them. I think you did exactly the right thing. I got the daily Digest, and the first thing I thought with the first message beign that spam was "What the Hell?" Then I saw your response to it just below the spam and I breathed a sigh of relief because you were right on top of things. That's a definite comfort, and I say, THANK YOU, ECHO!!!!! You're a very effective list mod, and I'm proud to be a member (albeit a lurking one) of a list that is so well managed.

Do Not Feel Bad! You were more than generous, and more than fair with her.

I didn't think I was being unfair. I mean, she'd been on the list for a while. She sure thought I was being unreasonable though. Jasper has expressed that she thought I was being 'dead-on with my mod'. I just hate to ban anyone, but she sure is making it easier by acting like a brat about it.

Go you on author of month. Well deserved, I'd say.

And netspeak. *eye twitches* Obscurus gets some pretty good fics submitted and then the author notes are full of plz, ur, ya, ttyl, cyal8er, g2g...the list goes on and on and on...

Speaking of Obscurus...I've been trying to update for you the past three days (It was going to be a New Year surprise--Surprise!) and the stupid thing won't let me in. I also need to check the submitted files. I emailed Raye and I'll see what's going on. It'll be updated soon.

You love lemons? You will eat them like oranges? I thought me and my friend Skyler were the only ones who did that. When I was 10 our parents were playing a drinking game for New Years Eve, and we played too, except we used lemon juice instead of bear.

As for the banner, I would have just deleted it when I saw the net speak. Net speak sucks.

Hmm gross out foods I eat?

Hello Lady E

A very Happy and wonderful 2005 to you.

I dont think the yoghurt and granola thing is gross.

The thing i love that people cant understand it Fruit bread with Vegemite on it,, the aussies will recognise vegemite. For the non aussies its a yeast extract spread that is really good for you but very very salty tasting. Me and my Dad and brothers are about the only ones i know that like the combination.

As for youghurt,,, uuuuh i love strawberry youghurt and occasionally i sprinkle a bit of choc milk powder in it,,, mmm nummy!!.

Heres hoping that this year you remain officially plagiarist free, that the lemons are plentiful (doh - just got the lemondrops bit) and that the plot ducks are co-operative.

I am the Dropverse Devottee
