Some of these are easy, some more difficult.

Here's how it plays... There are 12 movie quotes from 12 different flicks. See if you can guess them. First come, first served. The ones in bold are still un-guessed, but checking the comments to make sure someone hasn't beat you to it isn't a bad idea either.

Please limit yourself to THREE guesses only, unless otherwise specified. Let's give others a chance, ay? Three shall be the number of the guesses and the number of the guesses shall be three.

*

Game on....

1) "Fasten your seat-belts. It's going to be a bumpy night."

All About Eve. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] mynuet. Gotta love Bette Davis. She did 'frosty bitch' rather well.

*

2) "I'm afraid you're just too darn loud."

Back to the Future. Yay, The Heretic! Yes, Huey Lewis says this. I thought it was funny. He's such a goof.

*

3) "I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky."

Better Off Dead. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] oracleholly. A John Cusack classic. A must-see for any Cusack fan. It's also just silly-funny. The singing hamburger part with the Van Halen...

*

4) "Try my lovely nuts."

Love Actually. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] kiramarie. I love Colin. The character. Though I also like Colin Firth too. But Colin the character cracks me up in this film. He's the one who went to America for the hols. He had some of the funniest one-liners in the movie. "... and he's got a big knob!"

*

5) "Being bad feels pretty good, huh?"

Breakfast Club. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] qill13. One of the less obvious lines in the movie, but I chose it because it's true. To me anyhow. Being wicked always felt more thrilling than being good.

*

6) "In the heat of battle, my father wove a tapestry of obscenity, that as far as we know, is still hanging in space over lake Michigan."

A Christmas Story. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] kiramarie. This is one of my mom's favorite films of all time. I just replaced her VHS with the DVD this past winter holiday. But I love the whole thing with the swears in this movie. This comment was made by Narrrator Ralphie.

*

7) "Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
"You don't need any help from me, sir."

Clue. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] kristinholt. A very silly, yet hilarious movie. I love watching it. I love Tim Curry in it. Madeline Khan is also hilarious in anything she did. This included. Mrs. White has some of the best lines ever. These lines were uttered by Col. Mustard and Wadsworth, respectively.

*

8) "You lied."
"I exaggerated."

Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. Yay, The Heretic! Even if you are not a big Trekkie, see this one at least. It's hysterical! These lines are said between Saavik (Kirstie Alley) and Spock... both Vulcans... so the delivery is so dry and emotionless that it's funny. And you can't beat Shatner screeching "KHAN!"

*

9) "I don't even own a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do with a gun rack?"

Wayne's World. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] caffienefairy. My absolutely favorite line from the film. The whole scene here just makes me giggle every time, but specifically this line. I'm a Mike Myers fan.

*

10) "You pig!"
"I love it when you talk dirty."

Grease. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] tyd_e. Said between Rizzo and Kenickie. I love them as a couple. I just love Stockard Channing. She's a great actress. She can also do the 'freeze someone with a look' look really well. Plus, I always liked Rizzo better than Sandy. LOL.

*

11) "My hypocrisy goes only so far."

Tombstone. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] kristinholt. I *LOVE* this movie. I love how Kurt Russell's Wyatt just smacked people around. But speficically, I loved Val Kilmer's Holiday the smartarse. He was such a snarky Drunky Drunkerson. He had some of the greatest lines ever in this film.

*

12) "No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."

Dead Poets Society. Yay, [livejournal.com profile] oracleholly. I love poetry. I like this quote because, the more I write, the more I think it to be true. Said by Williams' Keating.

*~*~*

eta: This is hysterical. Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] houses7177.

You scored as Severus Snape. Your alter ego is Severus Snape. Well your a tricky one aren't you? Nobody quite has you figured out and you'd more than likely prefer it to stay that way. That said you are a formidable force on anybodies books, but there is certaintly more to you than a frosty exterior and a bitter temper.

So the top three I am most like are Snape, Harry, and Sirius. Hmmm. I actually think I agree. LOL. I would say I'm mostly a combination of Snape and Sirius... a bitchy little brat.

1 is Bette Davis... All About Eve, maybe? It's been years and years since my old movies phase. Nine is really familiar, but I don't remember where I know it from.
