This is just one example why I get REALLY frustrated with Christians.

It just really bugs me. Don't they have anything better to do? I mean, there's this devastating tsunami disaster thing happening that they could give aid to. People are homeless. People are dying of diseases. There are so many other causes that I think are more worth the crusade. I just think some people need a new mission.

Yes, I am about to respond to the movie quote guesses.

Amen, sister!!!! ;D

It's interesting to me how people take things to such a level that they forget the premise of their religious principals. I guess the realitiy is we find this in every aspect of life: religion, jobs, even fandoms. I just heard about a company trying to enforce their no-smoking policy on employees while at home and off the clock. *shakes head* Some people seem to like to wield a big ol' power stick, but have stuck so far up their arses they don't even realize it's there.

The main problem is that these so called "Good Christians" need someone to blame all of society's problems on. Bad parents LOVE to blame their kids' problems on someone else. ^_^ Any TV show, book, movie, or genre of music that happens to be extremely popular at any given moment runs the risk of being blamed for all of the younger generation's problems. Honestly! Little kids don't start doing drugs or beating the shit out of the kid down the street because they watched Spongebob or read Harry Potter. Kids are out of control because their parents are ignoring them. The only way to find out what's wrong is to actually talk to your kids. If that's too difficult, then you shouldn't be a parent.

I heard about this as well. It's absolutely disgusting that these people are trying to ruin something that's supposed to be teaching children tolerance and diversity. That and their attacks on Sponge Bob, it's a children's show people, you're reading far to much into it. Of course, I don't even understand their problem with homosexuality, so I don't expect to understand anything else they do. Fanatics scare me.

Some Christians give humanity a bad name.

I didn't read the whole article in detail, but I flicked through it.
This sort of thing really annoys me. My mums a Christian and so I've been brought up in that religion, and it's only now that I'm starting to actually question it. And still, even though I was brought up Christian, I wasn't taught to judge people by what religion or race or whatever they were, but to accept people- isn't that what Christianity is all about?
And this is why I hate these things. While they all preach acceptence, they go and start picking on anybody who doesn't see things their way, which gives Christians a bad name when not all of us (and I don't think anyone I know around here) are actually like that.

And I'm not sure if what I just said actually made sense. I didn't read it through.
