I would just like to point out that while I do rant a lot about the bad mails... for every ONE "update update update" I get, there are at least ten of you who make the writing worth it. There are dozens of you who think I'm getting it right with most of the pieces I post. You are content to let me do my thing, and you understand that some days I can't sit at the computer and type as much as I would like to. I just like to rant and get it off my figurative chest. We know this, right? Good. So thank you to the patient ones who are chock full of understanding. /pointing out

Have just remembered that TtH movie fic-a-thon fic is due on the 18th and has not even been started. Crap! I have been having a REALLY hard time deciding what to write. I don't think the character that was chosen for me and the emotion I was asked to convey fit together, but I think I finally figured it out today though.

Ah, fic writers. Today we're gonna talk about Houses ([livejournal.com profile] houses7177). She writes some of the best crossovers around. She writes in MANY genres and fandoms.

But she's here because she's one of the few writers who does Merry Gentry crossovers. For those of you who are not familiar with MG, you know Laurell K Hamilton who writes the Anita Blake books? Well, she doesn't just write the AB books. She writes the Merry Gentry series too, and if you think Anita is a bit of a slut bunny, Merry leaves her in the dirt. This series of books is definitely not for the sexually prudish.

A MG crossing is rare indeed. In fact, there are but 12 listed at Twisting the Hellmouth. I recommend all of them that have been penned by Houses. Specifically, the Cordelia-centric "Dance of Light" stories Through a Glass Darkly and it's continuation Lifting the Veil. Plus the interludes in that series... Frost's Interlude and Barinthus' Interlude. If you are a Connor fan, I highly recommend Over the Rainbow, and to round out all the MG crossings by Houses, there is also the Buffy-centric Seascape.

*blushes* What a sweetie. Thank you. I do love writing MG stories, and it's nice that there are readers for them. I've been remiss on updating DoL lately, so maybe I should squeeze some time in for that. All work and no play...

This is what a nerd I am. I planned this whole week out with who I am going to talk about each day and why. I go and dig up links to their fics hoping others will read too. With this, it is my hope to expand MG crossovers and readership... because there should just be more of both, in my opinion.

I am content to wait however long it takes you to write the next part. Don't squeeze unless you want to. I have plenty to occupy me until you can find the time to write. I would *LOVE* a new part soon, but I can wait. I know how to keep busy. LOL.
