Fic Appreciation Week (Day Six)

I first found her on the Den of Evil. Since then she has created a bit of a crossover empire. Yes, I am talking about Jinni... tthjinni. The webmistress, site mum, and all around grand dame of Twisting the Hellmouth.

There are few things she has written that I don't like. Sure, her Potter crossovers are some of my favorites, but she also dabbles in the Anitaversse, the Polarity of Roswell, LotR, Xmen, Stargate, Highlander, Kindred, Charmed, Smallville, West Wing, Xena, Underworld, LXG... I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

I think I should start by rec'ing the Anitaverse fic. There are only two. Most of my other likes of Jinni's are HP crossings. But there are two AB/BtVS fics of hers that I have read and enjoyed many times. A Buffy/Nathaniel called How the Other Side Lives, and a Willow/Jason called The Dangers of Flirting. (WARNING: Both stories are high rated for the naughty)

Now let's talk about some Narcissa/Severus fics. I do like her W/SS best, but she also writes some of the best NM/SS around. Like An Affair to Remember, and the "Willing to Wait Trilogy" consisting of White Flag, And So Here We Are, and Full Circle..

She also writes some fabulous Dawn in a crossover situation. My three current faves being a Dawn/Draco pairing in Trick, the lesser done pairing of Dawn/Ron in Seven Minutes in Heaven (D/R naughty alert!), and the Roswell crossover with a Dawn/Michael pairing Under My Skin.

There are two Willow/Draco fics I recommend. There are many, actually, but I like Unexpected Visitor where Snape is her father, and Dark Witches Anonymous.

She pairs Willow with Sirius in the insertion fic Stranger Than Fiction, and has him as her uncle in the W/SS fic Nobler Still.

And my favorites include her W/Severus fics. Like... All Tied Up, Back at Square One (which has some nice D/G on the side), and the set of fics where Willow and Snape have a child... Victims of Circumstance, Carpe Severus (potions master and redheaded witch naughty shagging alert), and Good Morning.

Of course, you totally made my day by posting Polyjuice Perversions, too... Now if only I wasn't at work. *pout* I'm thinking reading that at work would likely be a v.v.v.v.v.v. bad thing. RoFL.

Yeah, I wouldn't go reading the PP at work. I think I need a vicious scrubbing after writing some of that. It's been a long time since I lemoned. I was reading Merry Gentry earlier for inspiration. That might not have been the wisest plan.

I didn't realise it was Fic Appreciation Week until you mentioned it in your LJ, so I decided to also do some fic recommending of my own to several of my friends. I just thought you would be interested to learn that you're one of the authors I recommended (post (http://www.livejournal.com/users/navy_brat/97839.html)). I have loved your stuff since I first clapped eyes on it four years ago, and continue to love it. You have wonderful wonderful work.

I just looked at your livejournal for the first time today, and what do I see? One of my two favorite fic authors recommending my other favorite fic author! You and Jinni are the 2 that I would PAY to read.
