I couldn't say this before because I was worried she'd read about it here. I made a cake today. For someone's birthday. It fricking KICKED ASS. It was the prettiest cake I have ever made in my entire life, and apparently, it was delicious. Chocolate covered cherry cake. White cake mix... add cherry jello. Bake. Ice with chocolate icing. Top with candied cherries. Simple. Easy. Tasty. Some people even had two pieces. Not me... because sugar, you know. But others did, and there were yummy noises. The very very small part of me that is a fifties housewife in her perfect dress and apron is preening. My mother saw it. I should have taken a picture. Should have taken a picture of her face when she saw it. She didn't know I could bake. I got major girlie points for that cake today.

And now I am going to sleep as I have to work tomorrow. Replies to comments and emails will have to *yawn* wait until tomorrow.

I got volunteered to bake some stuff for the Silent auction at work on tuesday. It's for Relay for Life, so I didn't complain much. Hopefully, everything'll turn out. The last few times I did an angel food cake, it fell out of the pan.
