Well, it's been an interesting morning.
I now know how to get a car out of the city pound. My brother's nestled safely in jail. He'll be there a while, I'm thinking. Over $4000 in tickets. Yeah. He'll be cooling his heels for a bit. He got stopped in my mother's car last night... which he was not supposed to be driving because he has no license. He had unpaid tickets to boot. So jail. My mother woke me up this morning to take her to get her car. Fun fun fun.
To sum up the rest of it... two of my cousins got in a fight. Cousin one had a gun and was waving it about. Counsin two was trying to get him to calm down. Cousin one was A) drunk or B) high. Not sure which at this point. It escalated into a brawl. And there's a crazy dog that attacked all the people fighting and those trying to help break up the fight. Everyone involved suffered a severe dog bite. I am not making this up. Currently cousin two is in the hospital due to damage on his leg from said crazy dog. He had to have surgery. The cousin one... we have no clue where he is. Likely in a hospital somewhere also because my brother and cousin two beat him up. It's just a mess. Bunch of damn hillbillies. Drunk and disorderly.
It's always something with the lot of them. Always. Well, I'm glad my brother's in jail. Maybe we'll have some peace around here. So my mother is PISSED. I am cranky because I missed lotsa sleep.
Going back to bed. Ug.

As a kid i grew up watching my uncles (on my mothers side) get drunk,, get verbal, then get physical with each other, and with their spouses on occassion.. Terrifying when your 8-12 years old to see grown men you love trying to beat the shit out of each other.
When me and my brothers reached our late teens we talked and made a pact that we would not be like that,, ever,,, we drink,, we may get pissy with each other but no violence. And we put the word out to the family when we were in our young adulthood - you start anything,, we will finish it - male or female (cause some of the females would start shit as well)
Since then,, no major hassles,,, in that way anyway.
The rest of the family on occassion does suck beyond the telling (yes thats a buffy quote from Earshot)
So i can to a degree understand and empathise.
Familys can suck,,, but mine for the most is ok,,,
