You know, no matter what I do in the fic world, someone somewhere always manages to find something to bitch about. Just so everybody knows... I happen to like writing crossovers. I was a crossover writer way before I was a pure HP writer. I prefer writing crossovers most of the time. That's likely not going to change. Deal with it please. PLEASE.

So this counts as a review? Really.

I'm just a bit miffed that you're devoting all your time to crossovers but I know I shouldn't have said so because it's your choice and you're the author but i just meant to poke you, in hopes you'll write SOMETHING for PureHP. *hopes*

so being the bitch I am, I retorted with...

You're right. It *IS* my choice, and I think you'll just get right on over it. The last set of minis I wrote contained four works that were pure HP. I am not just a HP writer. My great love happens to be crossovers. I feel like writing crossovers, and if I feel like writing crossovers, my goodness, then that's so what's gonna happen. Hate to tell ya, but I don't write for you. I mostly write for me.

Think I was too harsh? Well, my first impulse was to say "Hope in one hand and shit in the other... see which fills the fastest". I so look forward to the fic hiatus I will be taking in June to try and complete my edits of "In Shadowside" because there are a handful of you I am NOT gonna miss hearing from while I am not writing fic.

I'm taking some Tylenol PM and going to sleep. Dammit.

Harsh? HELL no. That was nice, as far as I'm concerned. Why can't people just learn to give you a break? *hugs*

Dude, you must be slipping! Somehow the harsh is just leeching out of you[1] -- I remember some rants toward similar events, not even that long ago, that did in fact feel on the harsh side of things to me. This, on the other hand, -- how to put this delicately -- is just barely short of something a Care Bear would say.

(But don't worry, you'll always be my *very favourite* Care Bear)

[1] Which, in another and probably more important sense, points to Good Things, really.

Oh! Be harsh if you have to be! Is one thing readers love about you, I think (despite whatever complaints/criticism you might receive) - you do not let yourself be cowed into writing/not writing something by anyone. As just one of the fanfic addicts out here who would mourn the loss of your brilliant fics if you ever did shy away from crossover... I say keep your finger on the trigger, where shooting down criticism is concerned :p

Eesh. This is the kind of time you wish you could just stop the reviewers, ni? I'm just glad one of mine are dumb enough to leave their e-mails when they do their "write more of this or else" reviews. Goodness knows how many people I would have flamed if that were the case...

Wow. *Shakes head* If people want pure HP fic, they can write it themselves... or look someplace else. It's up to the author what they write... sometimes. Sometimes however, it's like the writer is compelled to write and it turns into something else, like they're being controlled by the pen or keyboard... or whatever, and it's pouring from you like the blood from a wound until you can't stop... and it's something entirely different than what you intended... or maybe that's just me. *Shrug* One of my favorite quotes, that you already do a great job of living by is,

Better to write for yourself and have no public, then to write for the public and have no self.-Cyril Connolly

I don't know. At least you didn't get threatened with someone's pink flamingo mob... *blinks* I think that was the weirdest review I ever got. ~Aahz

*raises eyebrow* Echo dear, that was so not harsh. If I were you, I would have beaten them senseless with a two by four. But that's just me... You're intitled to write whatever and however you wish. Anyone who doesn't like it can go suck on a dead dog's nose.
