spankerella: (wtf)

I should have known as good as Thursday and most of Friday went that something would come along to foul it up.

First of all my brother called my 80 plus Grandma to bail him out of jail. And she was going to... because she has the best of hearts. She never could stand for anyone to suffer, even if it was their own damn fault they were suffering. And this is my dad's mom, so she only had me and my brother as grandbabies. She's very doting. So my night out was twarted because I wasn't about to let her go it alone, and there was this whole ordeal tonight about going to the bail bonds office. When we get there we find we can't bond him out because he pled guilty to the charges, so we would have had to pay the full amount of the tickets and not the 10% you normally pay to bond someone out. Needless to say she barely had the bond cash, let alone the full amount. Not that she couldn't get the money (not that she should have to in my opinion, but my Grandma wrote the book on stubborn) but it had to be paid in cash. She didn't have that sort of cash on hand. So I liked spending a Saturday night with my Grandma because we got to talk a bunch tonight, but I wish it had been under different circumstances.

Then... the "reviewer" I was referring to in THIS POST has a journal and posted that I called her a bitch. Er, maybe she read a different post but I'm certain that I was referring to my griping or myself when I used any form of the word bitch in that post. So if anyone else was confused, I was talking about me. I'm sorry she was confused, but her little review ticked me off.... mainly because I *HAVE* been writing some pure HP and recently too. A little bit of checking would have shown that.

Arg!

So looking forward to breaking for the month of June. Some of my readers are a little on the loony tunes side. So looking forward to July when I get a vacation from my life due to housesitting. Though I do think I will miss the little notes I get from people saying they were having a crap day and some fic I posted made it better for a little bit. That I will miss.

eta: And the hits just keep on coming. Ever find someone who seems to violently dislike you? And you think you might know why, but you're just not sure and you're just bothered enough to be bothered but not bothered enough to actually ask the person what their problems are with you... because they don't really know you at all?

Do you want a cheer-up icon? Or a ficlet? Or anything I can do while stuck on this side of the planet?

Appreciate the offer, but I am sure you have better things to do.

Icons and ficcing make me happy, so I would be happy to do something :) Icons especially at the moment.

Well, I wouldn't mind something in a Gabriel (a la Constantine). I just rewatched that at the dollar house last weekend.

I'm sure that on some level the sentiment behind this apology is appreciated. However, I have always found that taking the time to use the shift key and capitalise 'I', type out the missing 'y' and 'o' in 'your', and finally spell checking the post does help in getting the message across.

*blinks*

It's not a matter of education but of common courtesy. Most people prefer to read things on the 'net that can actually be read without deciphering.

Ok, I think I might have read your post wrong here, but the sorry was enough. It's fine if you didn't mean it the way I took it, and if you felt I was overly harsh in my retort. Then I'm sorry, but I just didn't like the implcation that I haven't written pure HP in forever... because it was just last week I *WAS* writing pure HP. And using captial letters and proper punctuation might help me understand you better.

*stares at the [Bad username in LJ tag] with a frown*

Ok, you either mean [livejournal.com profile] malfoy100 or [livejournal.com profile] tthdrabbles because those are the only two places on lj I mod at. If it's [livejournal.com profile] malfoy100, and I suspect it is, then yes. If from some odd reason you meant [livejournal.com profile] tthdrabbles, then I will have to consult Jinni first. Please let me know if I am right. Assuming can be a bad thing sometimes.

Since we have so many D/G shippers at [livejournal.com profile] malfoy100, how could I say no? I'll be adding [livejournal.com profile] ginny_draco100 to the affiliates shortly. I would ask that you do the same at your community. Thank you.

So, in summary, people suck.

I wish I could say I was surprised -- but in reality I'm about as surprised as I was by seeing that the person referenced in that other entry is a clueless weirdo who can't spell worth a damn.

All I can say is, don't close yourself off from people in general because some people are jerks -- but don't hesitate to tune out those who are, either. And yes, that's a lot easier said than done.

No. I still have some faith in the human race. Sometimes people manage to surprise me in a good way. It just hasn't been happening lately. Seems like I have been treated, even within myself, to the darker side of human nature these days.
