So this business is very close to home now. The school my mother teaches at... which is not even 5 minutes from our house will be getting 23 students who are hurricane victims. They have no idea where their parents are. Very sad. These students have had care packages made for them with stuffed animals, blankets, clothes, and school supplies. They will be housed at a local church and with some local families. Their meals are being donated by the school and the church. I've already volunteered to help. I feel glad to be better part of the help, more actually involved... because our community is a good one here, but at the same time this all makes me very sad. How sad to not know if your family was alive or dead and to be away from home and things familiar during it.
