Today has been... unique.

Got lots of holiday cheer in the mail today. Mainly a music package from the family that lives at this livejournal... tsorriana. But someone in my family ordered me... get this... Return of the King the extended version. It was delivered to my house today. I'm about to get my Aragorn on. I'm also DYING to know what was cut. I hope there's some more Faramir/Eowyn stuff. Or ANY actually... as there wasn't in the theatrical version. Anyhow, I've spent most of the day hanging with a friend that I've known my whole life. His girlfriend left him, and he's been a bit maudlin. He's my Star Wars buddy. He's the Luke to my Leia. And there's a war story there. With wounds.
