Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] guyblackcat. I so need to be writing not doing memes.

1 ) Total number of films I own on DVD/video: DVD... around 50 and that's not counting the seasons of Buffy and Angel on DVDs... because, hey, not films. Videos? Oh Jebus, I ain't counting that. Let's just say A LOT and leave it at that.

2) The last film I bought: For someone else: Immortal Beloved (Happy B Day, Bree!) For me: I think it was Garden State, but I'm not real sure.

3) The last film I watched: Bend It Like Beckham. Jonathan Rhys Meyers. *drool*

4) Five films that I watch a lot, or that mean a lot to me:
Sense and Sensibility: I am a huge Jane Austen fan. I love period movies. This one, of all, even Pride is my favorite. But then we have Alan Rickman as Brandon. I also loved it because Emma Thompson adapted the screenplay, and from that, you could tell she was an Austen fan too.

Empire Strikes Back: The movie I have seen the most. This film holds not only the distinction of being this SW nerd's fave SW film, but also one of the few movies my brother and myself agree kicks ass. It's special for me though because this is the one where Han Solo kisses Princess Leia a couple of times. I was so about that. Even as a little girl. Even though *I* wanted to marry Han Solo. I decided that if I couldn't have him, the only person worthy was Leia.

Harry Potter: I'm gonna cheat here and lump all three films so far together. Anyone who knows me even a little, I don't think I have to explain the why to you.

Wizard of Oz: Probably seen this one the second most. Before VCRs and videos became common in every house, every spring you could count on one thing... that one of the major networks would show WoO. Just like It's a Wonderful Life at Christmas or Halloween on, you guessed it, Halloween. So when we'd know Wizard of Oz was going to show, me and my mother made a night of it. She popped popcorn... old school on the stove with the dutch oven, and we settled in on the couch under one blanket and watched. It's one of my earliest memories of my mother.

Quills: A little disturbing, yes, but his drive to write hits some chord within me. He was compelled to get the words out of his head. I so get it.

5) Finally, tag five people to do this meme:
