Finally heard from Aunt who lives in Longview area. They have no electricity, and it's rained 5 inches since this morning. Winds are also scary as hell and there's already tree branches everywhere, but they're fine. Kinda glad I didn't go there this weekend. LOL.

I have been waiting all day to hear from her. She's my favorite aunt. My cousin, who also lives in that area, is supposed to call in a bit. She's ok. I just wanted to talk to her. I told my aunt to have her call me.

I know you don't know me, but...

It's good to hear that everyone is okay. We were supposed to get around 10 inches of rain this weekend and we've gotten nothing! Rita missed us completely, which kind of sucked, because I really wanted a rainy weekend.

I also wanted to tell you that I've read most (if not all) of the fanfiction that you've written and I've loved it all. And I had heard awhile back that you'd posted some of your original work online as well and decided to read it too. And I just had to say that I'm in awe. You are an amazingly talented person. Your stories - whether those that are centered around characters not your own or those that are completely yours - they are wonderful. All characters fleshed out and touchable... you're amazing. I just had to say. And I know, again, that you don't know me, and I know this all probably sounds a little stalker-ish, but... *shrug*

Thank you. While, i do love fanfic, and it produces more instant and more in volume as far as praise is concerned, my original work is closer to me. When people say the like that... it means a hundreds times more to me than them saying they like my fic. Because the originals are all me. I love characters. With original work that is by far the most fun for me... creating the characters, giving them their quirks and intricate natures.

It's not stalker-y. A friend of mine recently said she has learned more about me from reading my original work than she ever had just from trying to talk to me.

I'm happy that your family is safe. I was a bit worried when I heard Rita was heading for Texas. My prayers are with your family for your grandmothers surgery. I hope everything works out.

On a different topic loved your second part of Jealous Face.

I'm writing my Harry/Pansy fic, I'm just no good at writing snarky Pansy. I've never actually written her at all. In your opinion, If Harry married Pansy and they had a son, what do you think they would name him? I think if Harry had a daughter he would really want to name it after his mother, but what do you think?

Eh, we're tough. Besides, I knew it wasn't gonna be that bad for us... because we're pretty far inland. My Grammy is determined to be ok. She says she hasn't done everything she wanted to do in her life just yet, so it's not her time.

For inspiration on Pansy... might I reccomend "Mean Girls" or watching Parker Posey in "Dazed and Confused". I usually have Harry name his kids James, Lily, or Sirius.

I'm going to do my best. I remember that movie. I saw it before I saw the midnight showing of POA. I'm also putting in the fic, Blaise and Luna who will be doing their best to re-popoulate Great Britain. R/H and of course D/G. We'll see how it works. I'm in the mood to write angsty fics. Of course I don't think a fic is finished without a somewhat happy ending.

Don't think about your b-day. I stopped having them. I'm perpetually 27 until I get married and have kids, then I'll be my real age.

If you're asking why stop at 29, it because I AM STRANGE. Everyone always stops at 29. I decided I liked being 27 better.
