Well, it's just after 3 AM here, and despite the fact that I was falling asleep in a chair earlier, I felt the need to check email and post this post. Well... because... I have a Draco Malfoy Lego now. It's the most awesome thing ever. There was sort of a witches/wizrds theme with my gifts tonight. I am also the proud owner of a Slytherin mug, a George Weasley action figure, Anakin/Darth Vader Legos, several gift certificates to bookstores, and Son of a Witch... the sequel to Wicked... and AND I'm going to see Wicked the musical in October. Plus a whole plate of sugar cookies. I love sugar cookies. I'm eating one right now.

I think I like Draco best though. *snicker*

I'll take pictures and post them when I am less tired and loopy. Oh and whoever said Joss had a bit part in Serenity? Um, no. I did not see him. And I was looking this time. [livejournal.com profile] tthjinni, I hope you were not frightened, offended, or overwhelmed by us. And I completely understand if you never want to see any of us again after tonight. LOL.

Going to sleep now.

happy Happy

Lady E,

A slightly belated anniversary of your birth greeting, and wishes for you from your slightly mad aussie fan.

I am most pleased that you have had a good day. with mirth and joy and wonderfully appropo pressies.

I myself saw Serenity on fri evening and it was a very very enjoyable experience. I have only seen a few eps of Firefly due to the ignorance of certain television networks in my area of the world. (Same thing happened with Tru Calling.. :( )

It was excellent and despite my limited Firefly exposure i was saddened by certain events. (carefully avoiding spoilage here)

I will endeavour to collect myself the DVD set (which was actually released here before it was shown at all on tv)

Enjoy your pressies,, heres hoping that work/life/family get better than they are and better than u hoped.

I am looking forward to the 4th HP movie and to hearing of the release of your book.

I remain your most humble Dropverse Devottee

Glad you liked your Draco *giggle*

I thought you guys were great, really. I feel bad that I didn't participate too much in the conversation, but I was just trying to absorb it all and stuff. I promise to talk more in the future, should I ever be invited to get together with you guys again.

I did discover that I know -nothing- about movies. *lol* And here I thought I had seen a lot of movies and could carry on a movie conversation with the best of them... but... no. You guys are some movie-loving people and put me to absolute shame.

You should have seen Mom's face when I showed it to her this afternoon. I think my thing for the bad guy disturbs her. LOL.

Of course you're invited again. You survived. That makes you one of us now. LOL.

And we're film nerds. All of us. That's likely why we hang out. All of us love movies. And pretty much the same TV shows... and books. LOL. No shame though. A few of us went to school to be that nerdy about movies. Trust me, we could have gone deeper into nerdville about Harry Potter. Sarah and I can really get going about that.

We had a HP conversation on the way home. Was nice. I like being around people that I can talk about my favorite subjects with and not get looked at like I'm a freak. LoL.

Nothing wrong with being "film nerds". You guys mentioned alot of horror movies I haven't seen before and am now curious about... and at least one that I haven't seen and apparently Never. Want. To. See.

Talking about The Grudge did wig me out, only because I'm still not over the creepiness of that movie. Went home and turned on all the lights for a little while. *snicker* The curse of an overactive imagination.

Well, because of Patrick, we all know FAR more about obscure horror movies than we should. I think all that Last House on the Left talk kept me awake for a bit myself.

Yeah...that's the one I don't think I have any desire to see. It sounds too graphic. I'm not into graphic horror movies. I guess I'm a minimalist when it comes to blood, etc. That's why I liked The Grudge, The Ring...

Thai didn't like horror movies, so I haven't seen many in recent years. The Grudge was actually the last one I saw in a theater...unless Skeleton Key counts. Will have to hit up blockbuster (perhaps today if I get my papers written...damn procrastination) and rent some in honor of the whole Halloween-y season.

Your mom seems so sweet, by the way. A real "mom" mom. Like mine. =)

Aww, thank you. My mom is sweet. LOL. But she can also be a real pill when she's in a cranky mood. We didn't always have the relationship we have now.

Congrats on the Draco Malfoy lego! But I was wondering, were in the world did you get a George Weasley action figure? Cuz I've been looking like everywhere and can't find it.
Also, do you live near Houston? Cuz I'm actually going to see it in October also...I'm not trying to be some crazy stalker or anything, just curious

My friend Sarah went to England recently. She got it at the big toy store in London that I can't recall the name of right now.

Not Houston. Dallas area. Specifically Grand Prairie.

OK. So I am very confused. I had something sent to you (I actually had it sent overnight). I ordered it on Wednesday, so it should have, SHOULD HAVE, been to you by Friday or Saturday. Please keep me updated on whether or not it arrives. I will most pissed if it doesn't show up at all.

P.S. It doesn't have your "last name" on it, just the initials. It does have your first name though.

It'll probably come on Monday then. I'll keep you posted though.
