Well, it's just after 3 AM here, and despite the fact that I was falling asleep in a chair earlier, I felt the need to check email and post this post. Well... because... I have a Draco Malfoy Lego now. It's the most awesome thing ever. There was sort of a witches/wizrds theme with my gifts tonight. I am also the proud owner of a Slytherin mug, a George Weasley action figure, Anakin/Darth Vader Legos, several gift certificates to bookstores, and Son of a Witch... the sequel to Wicked... and AND I'm going to see Wicked the musical in October. Plus a whole plate of sugar cookies. I love sugar cookies. I'm eating one right now.
I think I like Draco best though. *snicker*
I'll take pictures and post them when I am less tired and loopy. Oh and whoever said Joss had a bit part in Serenity? Um, no. I did not see him. And I was looking this time.
tthjinni, I hope you were not frightened, offended, or overwhelmed by us. And I completely understand if you never want to see any of us again after tonight. LOL.
Going to sleep now.

Date: 2005-10-02 02:29 am (UTC)A slightly belated anniversary of your birth greeting, and wishes for you from your slightly mad aussie fan.
I am most pleased that you have had a good day. with mirth and joy and wonderfully appropo pressies.
I myself saw Serenity on fri evening and it was a very very enjoyable experience. I have only seen a few eps of Firefly due to the ignorance of certain television networks in my area of the world. (Same thing happened with Tru Calling.. :( )
It was excellent and despite my limited Firefly exposure i was saddened by certain events. (carefully avoiding spoilage here)
I will endeavour to collect myself the DVD set (which was actually released here before it was shown at all on tv)
Enjoy your pressies,, heres hoping that work/life/family get better than they are and better than u hoped.
I am looking forward to the 4th HP movie and to hearing of the release of your book.
I remain your most humble Dropverse Devottee

Date: 2005-10-02 08:31 am (UTC)I thought you guys were great, really. I feel bad that I didn't participate too much in the conversation, but I was just trying to absorb it all and stuff. I promise to talk more in the future, should I ever be invited to get together with you guys again.
I did discover that I know -nothing- about movies. *lol* And here I thought I had seen a lot of movies and could carry on a movie conversation with the best of them... but... no. You guys are some movie-loving people and put me to absolute shame.

Date: 2005-10-02 11:03 am (UTC)Of course you're invited again. You survived. That makes you one of us now. LOL.
And we're film nerds. All of us. That's likely why we hang out. All of us love movies. And pretty much the same TV shows... and books. LOL. No shame though. A few of us went to school to be that nerdy about movies. Trust me, we could have gone deeper into nerdville about Harry Potter. Sarah and I can really get going about that.

Date: 2005-10-02 11:06 am (UTC)Nothing wrong with being "film nerds". You guys mentioned alot of horror movies I haven't seen before and am now curious about... and at least one that I haven't seen and apparently Never. Want. To. See.
Talking about The Grudge did wig me out, only because I'm still not over the creepiness of that movie. Went home and turned on all the lights for a little while. *snicker* The curse of an overactive imagination.

Date: 2005-10-02 11:19 am (UTC)Thai didn't like horror movies, so I haven't seen many in recent years. The Grudge was actually the last one I saw in a theater...unless Skeleton Key counts. Will have to hit up blockbuster (perhaps today if I get my papers written...damn procrastination) and rent some in honor of the whole Halloween-y season.
Your mom seems so sweet, by the way. A real "mom" mom. Like mine. =)
