Guess what came in email today? The cover art for "In Shadowside". Earlier than expected. Yeah. *little dance* Moving right on along here, folks. The weird thing? Laura only vaguely knew what I wanted, and it came out looking very close to what my head thought the cover should look like.

The firmest dates I have as of now is that they want it out before Christmas, but in all likliness it will be available January 2006.

Idea in my head:

The back of Madison, as in her lower back. She's wearing low slung blue-jeans and her blue fire tat is very clearly showing.

There's also a hand, not her own, in her back pocket.

Actually I had thought about her lower back. I had also thought of taking a picture that I have of my tattoo and having someone paint that, but in the end I wanted something simple. So we have fire. Orange fire not blue.

And I guarantee you haven't thought about it half as much as I have. LOL.

Thank you. Yes, people don't realize what a process it is even if you have people rooting for you in the publishing house. But I've had it a lot easier than other folks.
