Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] txrangermark.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want--good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Did you vote in the food poll then? I'm excited that it looks like everyone will be able to make it. Glad you could switch nights.

Memories - Dust the cobwebs from my mind

Well, well, well. Let me see. Obviously NIN, but how about I reach far back in time and dust the cobwebs off those fragmented brain files of mine. Beginning to remember infamous parties in which much alcohol was imbibed, singing of Grease songs was necessary, a video camera always recording the drunken idiots, and winding up in the pool by the end of the night was mandatory. But I have to say the wild car rides, kicking a guy in the head during Dark Angel, the fish purse, and being dubbed "Mina the Penis Slayer" are some of my fondest memories.

My favorite memory so far? Well, there have been so many...

... but I must say that it was at Chili's...the waitress saying you "look like... I mean, with the hair and all..." in regards to you writing horror novels.

ROFL.

Mine isn't so much a memory but one of our joint observations about how parallel our lives are. We have had some good email conversations about it - ones that have made me feel better - hopefully they did you too. I am now just waiting for the parallels to catch up so you get a new job - as you justly deserve.

Hmm...the first time we communicated, I remember. I was reading Willow/Spike and you had just released the first chapter of Drop. Intrigued, I looked through other Harry Potter fanfics on other sites and I emailed you later asking if Draco's last name was spelled Malfoy or Malfroy. LOL.

The best memory? Our conversation over Wednesday, Draco, my being a cheerleader and my monkey suit. Good times. Good times.

The rather strange Michael incident, I think, sticks with me.

Getting a Christmas/Valentine's card from you and staring at the return address while grinning like a fool because I actually had post from echo.

Drop was the first piece of fanfiction I ever read that wasn't by one of my friends and it was AMAZING. It's all your fault that I'm absolutely addicted to the fanfic world. :)

I remember that I posted a drabble a really long time ago in [livejournal.com profile] malfoy100, and you reviewed it (positively). 'Twas quite joyous to get a review from the person who sort of inspired me to write fanfic in the first place.

A memory of you? Last year's NaNoWriMo novel. I actually randomly re-read it the other day and its just gorgeous. A wonderful mix of magic, real life and person to person interactions, all wrapped up in humour and excitement.

Well, we've never met face to face.

But I've been reading your fan fiction since "Gryffindor Girls" was a work in progress. In fact, about two years ago when I was writing my own fan fiction (which at some point before the apocolypse, I WILL finish), I sent you the first communication I've ever sent you, asking if I could use the title, "Potions for Non-Imbeciles" by S. Snape in it. I like you way more than I like Cassandra Claire. *snort* You actually finish things, and are over-all more fun to read. I am waiting for baited breath for your book. I have many memories of my mom coming into my room late at night and going, "What are you laughing at?" because I have ignored the warnings that you sometimes put on things.

Congratualtions on your first book, and I can't wait until I can hold it in my hand and peruse it at my own leisure. I can't wait to be able to give you money for all of the pleasure and cheer that reading your work has done for me.

Anne

Well, we don't talk, at all, and you have no idea who I am, but you're actually pretty much the only reason I'm addicted to fanfiction, that and my sister, she brought me to the computer and said read, as I did, it was the opening of an unclosed door, even to this day, Drop was my first and still favorite fic. Thank you for the sequel, even though it isn't finished yet. Yah for fic love, and icon love as well, it's awesome.

Zoe
PS- It is also how I got a friend of mine addicted!

Reading A Drop n the Ocean for the first time and thinking this is soooo good,

The characterisations, the dialogue and the interactions of the Scooby and Potterverses.

In Drop - the Quidditch Scene really stands out for me.

I remain, your humble DD

Drop in the Ocean introduced me to HP/BtVS crossover fics! And then Deja Potter Vu started me on HP fics.

Smile on my baby boy's face when you replied back to him and sent him Shakespeare. Which he still carries around today. As we have never met in person, this is my favorite.
