I love my fans. You guys are great. Seriously. I am very lucky, VERY lucky, to have the fanbase I have. There are few people who I know who have such loyal and fabid (made-up word, combination fabulous and rabid) fans. It's great. Scary at times, but no less great. Some of the greatest things ever are a bit frightening.
But...
Sometimes, just sometimes, a few small few of you don't have your brains connected to your bodies. It's ok though. Happens to me too. The problem here is that when this happens to this very few group of you, you say some things to me that are downright insensitive. And it makes me question, for even two seconds, why I put up with it. It makes me, in those two seconds, long for the day when I will no longer write fanfiction because in those two seconds it's not fun. I hate it, and I'm a bit angry with you for not considering that I might have feelings. I should not complain though. This doesn't happen often anymore, all trolls aside. I don't pay attention to my constant detractors, however I do wonder why they keep reading just about everything by someone whose writing they obviously despise.
I just wish sometime the people who do this insensitive stuff would think for a damn minute before they speak. Or type in this case. I know that's a futile hope of mine, but I'm a bit known for hoping in futility. Maybe I'm just cranky and overly sensitive because I'm just coming off of being pretty sick.
