spankerellaI try to keep an open mind, but why do some of you Christians insist on foistering your beliefs on those of us who are not? It really frustrates me to no end. Someone spammed my LJ. Religiously spammed. Spammed me about Jesus. If your God and Jesus are so great, you shouldn't have to peddle their wares. I've actually read the bible. I think it should stand for itself and not have to be pimped out. That's just my opinion though. I know there's no harm in it, but it really irritates me because obviously by their post, this person knows me not at all. I removed it of course, but if you are curious, here's the post without the links provided...
hi spankerella, i listen to christian music... i am waitin to buy another cd, can't wait have you heard about The Christ? it's a movie about the last hours of Jesus' life before the Crucifixion - i've heard a lot of good things about it, and i agree after seeing the trailers... i'll include a few links below. check these out, they moved me. i mean, if a TRAILER can make you cry, it's got to be some movie!

i dont want to clutter up your journal, but i would hope you and some of your friends would actually appreciate this - i'm trying to spread the word about this film , i feel that compelled!

So, Michael dear, if you're reading... I'm wiccan, bub. I don't care for religious spam either. You don't even know me. If you did, you wouldn't have done that. And the movie isn't called "The Christ"... it's called "The Passion of the Christ", and yes, I've heard of it. If you knew ANYTHING about me at all, you'd know I'm a projectionist at a theatre, so OF COURSE I've heard of it. It comes out in about 2 weeks. I didn't care for "The Gospel of John", so it's likely I won't care for "The Passion of the Christ" either. It's not my idea of a good movie experience to watch someone be noble, spiritual, and leader-y then get crucified in the end... especially when I'm sure it was all due to fear and ignorance. I'm an escapist not a realist.
And it doesn't matter if some of my friends appreciate your little notes or not, it's my journal and I don't appreciate it. Don't ever darken my LJ doorstep again, buster.
Thanks to Michael, here, I am now logging IP addresses and screening comments when you post anonymously. And people wonder why I have an aversion to Christianity. It's dolts like this one. I wonder what made him choose me as needing the "word". Is it my lj username? Could it be that sometimes when I post my icon is a swirling pentacle that has 'blessed be' on the back? Who knows. Who cares. Just stay away from me, Christ-boy. I've heard your "word" and I don't happen to think it's for me. Blessed be. Praise the Goddess.
