I have been toying with the idea of trying to make my site an efiction archive type thing. I realize I will have to break down and actually get a domain now, but I've been reading. This is more difficult than I thought it would be. Not the domain stuff, but the efiction stuff. I'm completely lost. Well, not completely, but pretty darn close to completely.

I know if I can just figure this out, my updating will be easier.

Diebin, who wrote the code I use at the WRFA and XMMFF, has a couple smaller versions available (the multi-fandom personal archive would probably work for you), and it's cheap as hell considering she does all the coding and installation, and is super helpful.

The real work is moving all the stories over into the database, and that you have to do yourself. :)

When I switched over my sites to eFiction the biggest problem I had was the MySQL database. Here's some advise... If you switch over to eFiction, store your files on the *server*. Files are too easily corrupted if you store them in the database. That's what screwed me way back in December & caused me to have to start over. :{ Not fun.
