Bad night. Bad bad night.

I must be hormonal or something. I've kinda been put through the wringer tonight, and then to top it off, like a fool or some sort of glutton for punishment, I go to the Chihuahua rescue site. I want a Chihuahua. I have for a long time. I love cats. i am a cat person, but there's just something about a Chihuahua that appeals to me. A little dog I can carry in one hand. Tiny. Something I can buy one of those tacky bags and carry it around in. But I always gets so sad looking at the rescue site, and it's worse tonight because I saw one I *REALLY* wanted. He's all copper-colored and cute. Big brown eyes. And I just broke down and cried about it because I can't afford to adopt him right now. Poor Luke, I hope they find you a good home soon.

I miss my cat and I want to go on vacation from my family. A want a dog to sit in my lap while I type. Considering how little of a lap I seem to have these days, I think a Chihuahua would be perfect. Can't afford one yet. So I'm sad. And fairly pathetic right now.

Because I'm crying about a dog that I can't afford.

If I had a puppy, I'd name him Draco and teach him to bite ankles.

I hope you're able to get your Chihuahua soon. From my experience they are born knowing how to bite ankles, but they are just so cute it's hard to care.

*hugs* It's hard to want something like a pet, and yet not afford it. If you lived closer to Ohio, I would hook you up w/my uncle. He always seems to have chihuahua pups available. *sigh* Well, I hope that soon you can adopt a little Draco. I really do. *hugs*

I feel your pain. I adore the little ankle biters, not that we can afford one, so we tend to go the mutt route. I have had 2 chihuahua mixes. We had the first one (Chihuahua/Pomeranian) for 11 years until she got sick . . . it took almost seven more years to talk my father into another. My baby now is a Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix named . . . Spike (courtesy of my mother -- my vote was for William the Bloody).
