bloody hell!

I can't sleep, so I was sifting through email. I get little notices sent to my inbox when reviews are left at certain sites. Those of you who write fic know what I'm talking about. So I had put an author's note on "The Life of Brian" saying the spin-off "Chasing Amy" was available for reading and put up the link. Well, this person leaves me a review telling me how they liked LoB and rah rah rah. Then tells me they probably won't be reading the spin-off because Amy is a main character and will be looking forward to Amy-less projects in the future... because they couldn't resist my writing.
Kiss my grits!
If I'm so irresistable, give Amy a chance. Because I guarantee you she isn't going to be the self-serving junkie turned jealous bitch she ended up being. And even if she is, she'll have a cool Malfoy thing going on, so it will look classy. That really just chaffs my hide. I can understand not reading something if the author isn't mysterious like I like being sometimes and is upfront about a pairing. There are certain pairings I can't deal with.
But I am a character writer. Characters are what I do. If you like my style... trust me. I won't steer you wrong. Hell, I have people loving Sirius in one fic and hating him in another. I've been told by people that they'd never thought of Snape as sexy until "Drop". (I know! How can you look at Rickman and not want to devour him no matter what he's wearing?!) I've made Marcus Flint take-able to many more people, and I'm so about to awaken him as a sexual creature to a few. That's right ladies and gents, Flint's sexy too. I even once made Percy Weasley a sexual creature.
I just wish people would trust me sometimes. And if they don't, just don't tell me about it, so I don't stay up, even more of an insomniac, staring at the computer screen with a look of disbelief, and dare I say slight hurt, on my face.
Numfar, do the dance of inciting fic trust! No, that one's boring. Who cares. Numfar, do the Spike's a sexy beast dance! Ahhh! Much better.
