Draco paused with his fork part-way to his mouth and looked at the person seated next to him at the holiday dinner. Luna Lovegood's eyes were regarding him most seriously. Well, not him per se, the asparagus on his fork.
"And why is that, Lovegood?"
"It'll put the stinkle in your tinkle."
"The what in my what?" He choked out, snickering a bit.
"Asparagus makes your urine smell smellier than usual."
"What?"
"It's true, Malfoy. If you don't believe me, eat up. You'll see."
Draco snorted, going to eat the greenery. One of Lovegood's pale eyebrows arched. Draco growled and tossed his fork down.

Dawn rolled her eyes. Spike caught it though. He grabbed the remote and paused the DVD they were watching.
"Bit?"
"Are you gonna, like, quote the ENTIRE movie, Spike? I didn't realize you'd seen Lost Boys that many times. If I'd known you were gonna be so ass-tastic about it, I wouldn't have gotten you it as your Christmas prezzie. You only deserved coal and switches anyhow."
Spike smirked. "The switches would have been a welcome gift as well, pet."
"Oh gross."
Spike chuckled. "Can we finish watching the bloody show now?"
"I dunno. Can we?"
"I'll behave."
Dawn snorted loudly, making her feelings known.

He'd phoned Sam, wishing him a happy holiday. Hermione too. He'd sent Liz an e-mail. He'd had a fruitcake delivered to Torchwood with attention to Captain Jack Harkness. But everywhere Oz had traveled, he'd never thought to find himself at a midnight mass on Christmas Eve.
He'd heard someone he knew would be at this one, at this particular church though.
Oz spotted her and hurried down the aisle, swiftly sliding into the pew next to her. He looked at her out of the corner of his eye, but did not turn his head.
"Oz?"
He looked at her then. "Hey, Buffy. Merry Christmas."

AN: Sam is Sam Winchester of Supernatural. Hermione is of course Miss Hermione Granger of HP fame. Liz is one Liz Parker of Roswell. And if you've seen Dr Who or Torchwood, you know very well who Captain Jack is. At least Oz didn't send him a stopwatch.

Date: 2006-12-19 03:23 am (UTC)(I would comment on the other drabbles, but I am so out of it that I have never watched Buffy. Yes, I know that I am missing out on one of the true joys of life. Maybe if I ever have lots and lots of time, I will try to watch it all. Now that I think of it, that would be a really good argument for unemployment, wouldn't it?)

I'm challenging myself to write a few unusual pairings (as in: hard to find on the internet)one of which is Oz/Ginny. I've seen only one. I've read four Xander/Luna fics and have written one Viktor/Cedric, Viktor/Oliver fic. (which oddly enough was a Dr.Who crossover).
