1) Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom!/ You symbiotic, patriotic, slam, but neck, right?/ Right
REM "End of the World" REM was a large part of my tween and teen years. Anything before Monster because that's when they started to suck, IMO.

2) I don’t want to die/ I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all
Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody" Can't tell you how I love Queen. Can't tell you how I love this song. It just rocks out with its c*** out.

3) Maybe redemption has stories to tell/ Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Switchfoot "Dare You to Move" Beautiful song. Both lyrically and musically. Just lovely.

4) Sometimes ya got to squeeze/ Sometimes you've got to say please
Tenacious D "F*** Her Gently" This song always cracks me up, and it's beautifully sung too. It's got great show quality to it.

5) Couldn't love you more/ You got a beautiful taste
Bush "Glycerine" Another beauty of a song. Both in lyrics and music.

6) But now there's nowhere to hide/ Since you pushed my love aside/ I'm out of my head
Olivia Newton John "Hopelessly Devoted to You" This is one of my karaoke songs. I did NOT accept Grease as the artist. Grease is the musical it's from, people. I am very picky about that stuff. Recall the Moulin Rouge thing from last time? Yeah.

7) We got the power, got the glory/ Just say you need it and if you need it/ Say yeah!
Def Lepard "Rock of Ages" Rock on Rock o the Mullet! I love Def Lepard. They were a big part of my middle school years.

8) I used to feel your fire/ But now it’s cold inside/ And you’re back on the street/ Like you didn’t miss a beat, yeah
Aerosmith "What It Takes" Damn, I love this song. I like Aerosmith. I can't hear "Sweet Emotion" and not want to shake my ass.

9) I may be mad/ I may be blind/ I may be viciously unkind
Annie Lennox "Why" I love Annie Lennox. She has a great voice. Whether she's solo or with the Eurythmics, I dig her. Also, this is just a pretty song. My fave of hers is "Love Song for a Vampire" though.

10) People think I'm insane/ Because I am frowning all the time
Black Sabbath "Paranoid" Dude. Just dude. Ozzy rocks. He's got one of those voices that affects certain parts of my brain.

11) Masquerading as a man with a reason/ My charade is the event of the season
Kansas "Carry on my Wayward Son" Dude again. This song was so upped by that Supernatural spot they ran it with.

12) Since I was young/ I've tasted sorrow on my tongue
Korn "Coming Undone" I love Korn. I just do. And if I were gonna be a stripper, this is one of the songs I'd use. It's just... wicked.

13) They say the devil's water/ It ain't so sweet/ You dont have to drink right now/ But you can dip your feet
the Killers "When You Were Young" Love the Killers. "He doesn't look a thing like Jesus"... you just can't beat a lyric like that. "Mr. Brightside" is still my fave though.

14) I've been looking at the sky/ And it's gettin' me high/ Forget the hearse 'cause I never die
ACDC "Back in Black" This song just rocks. I love the rock. If it's hard, I love it. Yes, I realize how that can be interpreted, but I am referring to music, pervs.

15) Tell me there's a logic out there/ Leading me to better prepare/ For the day that something really special might come
Weezer "Perfect Situation" I just love Weezer. I always have. I've seen them live three times.

16) Love of two is one/ Here but now they're gone/ Came the last night of sadness/ And it was clear that she couldn't go on
Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reaper" GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL, BABY!

17) Now it's you-know-who/ I've got the you-know-what/ I stick it in the you-know-where/ You know why, you don't care
Marilyn Manson "This is the New Shit" I'm not a big Manson fan really. I mostly dig his cover songs, because I am a cover song WHORE (that's why I like the Gimmes), but this one rocks for me.

18) All you gotta do/ Is smile that smile/ And there go all my defenses
Dolly Parton "Here You Come Again" Dude, Dolly rocks. This song is awesome. I love it.

19) Wake up and see the places/ It's all you got and all you take/ You don't have to fall to pieces/ You have to prove it
Buckcherry "For the Movies" Yes, they have a song besides "Crazy Bitch".

20) You say you want your love to work out right/ To last with me through the night
U2 "All I Want is You" Damn, this is a beautiful song. I got reaquainted with it because of the movie "Reality Bites".

*~*~*

AGAIN... googling is cheating.

CLOSED If you would like to request a New Year's drabble, feel free. I'll need one character (specify the fandom please... just to be clear) from you. Nothing else. The universal theme on this collection shall be underpants. I feel like bras and panties and whatnot for the New Year.

I did better this time!

#20 is "All I Want is You" by U2

I'm pretty sure I know #2 also, but I am blanking on it. No drabble request this time--the one from last time will last me for quite a while. Thanks again!

1) character or pairing
2) fandom(s)
3) 5 prompts words
4) and one song from the list above

Not that many, really, but the main reason for commenting was to point you in the direction of Addams Family Therapy (http://yuletidetreasure.org/archive/25/addamsfamily.html) if you hadn't already seen it.
