So I had a fun hospital adventure yesterday.

I have an enlarged spleen. Don't know why. But there's pain. I have to see a doctor next week about it. Also, there might be actual diabetes going on with me now. FABULOUS, huh? I got to have a CAT scan. That was freaky. They drew blood. I peed in a cup. They gave me morophine. Then loratab. Then I went home. They wouldn't let me eat or drink anything all day yesterday. It pretty much sucked. I have pain meds and some stuff called glucophage that I have to take when I eat. It's most fun you can have without actually having any.

In puppy news, Draco took a crap on my mom. I love my dog.

I had an enlarged spleen when I was in kindergarten and had to stay inside during recess, because if I fell or got hit with a ball etc etc it might rupture and kill me or something.

So no recess for you!

CAT scans aren't fun. I don't mind the needles or the stting/laying still part, but the metallic taste in my mouth stayed there and it really bugged me. PET scans are more fun. They inject you with radioactive sugar. I was hyper for DAYS.

Prince took a crap on me yesterday. My car still stinks. Draco is uber cute, by the way.

Oh dear...*gentle hugs*. In the grand scheme though, good to get this recognized and start appropriote treatments ASAP.

Also - Draco obviously is a very smart pup with good taste in people. :P Or he just likes to see his momma happy.

I didn't even know you could have an enlarged spleen. Hope everything turns out okay for you.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new dog. BTW what does Lucy think of Draco? (is she still around? I haven't been over there lately)

I've been on glucophage for a couple of years now. You may have a lot of digestive problems while your body adjusts to the medication. I know from experience.

I hope everything goes well for you.

Mmm, glucophage. Not my favorite, mostly because it didn't actually help me. I truly wish you the best of luck.

You should have taken pictures.

Spleen, huh? Well... It could be worse. MUCH worse. Hopefully, the swelling will go down and everything will go back to normal.

Pre-Diabetic? That's the suck. Not a good time at all. Usually, they don't put you on the glucophage right away... you must have had a "sleeper" case.

As for the puppy: [laughs]

I remember those days. I bet your mom wasn't happy.
