I think my inbox just exploded.

Good grief. Hug Your Fave Author Day. I had no idea I warranted so many hugs. It'll take me a week to reply to all of it. Wow. Just when I was thinking I was losing my touch a little. An army of you come back saying 'oh HELL no'. Thanks. Ever so.

There aren't words for some of the things being said to me. So thanks (again). That's about all I can manage just now. I was starting to forget the effect I could have on people. Thanks for reminding me in the best way possible. I am in utter awe.

!Aiee! I almost forgot about this until I read your post. So, I'm going to leave my appreication right here. Let it be known I love your work. You are the reason why I'm into crossovers, especially HP/BTVS. If there was no Drop in the Ocean, I don't think I would be such a devout follwer of Buffy, Harry Potter or even Angel. Oh I and I love your other fanfiction especially pure HP...you I Have Never Felt Your Fear has given me new views into fanfiction. Oh, and I'll always be a supported of your original work. Shadowside and 4th Corner will always be my favorite works of yours, and I'm in utter suspense for the day when they will be print. So, Echo...I give you a hug for all your work.

Thank you. It always pleases me when someone tells me they got into or stayed with a fandom because of something I wrote.

It's hug your favorite author day? *hugs*!

Also, I really like your new colors. *nods*

Thank you.

Yes, I was going for something a bit more... Slytherin with this color scheme.

*nods* That makes sense. You are a Slytherin, dear. However, I refuse to go for the Hufflepuff colors. Too...I don't really like yellow that much.

Ahhh...I'd been in such a funk today I completely forgot about this...but consider yourself officially HUGGED. :-)

I've been very bad with the feedback lately, but always remember that you've been *the* top link on my links page for as long as I've had one.

This from the person who is the only author I know rewriting from mid season 3 on in the Buffyverse in a way that's not making me cringe... AT ALL. You've been bad with the feedback lately? I'm bad with the feedback always. I think I'm gonna have to hug you back for having the only BtVS/Avengers crossing I know of, and for hooking Joyce up with Giles.

Thanks -- I really needed that.

I hate to be Mr. Whiny Pants...but when you reminded me about "Hug Your Favorite Author Day", I realized no one had sent me anything for it. :-(

Plus, RL has been hitting me hard lately, and like I told you a while back, when I'm depressed, I can't write (or, at least, not well).

I get some good reviews when I write quickly, but I seem to have a very fickle audience; when I hit a snag, a lot of them forget all about me.

You know, when I hit a snag, I wish people would forget about me sometimes.

Your muse will find you again. Hang on. Have faith. Or possibly have Faith. LOL.

You've been hugged over at my journal.

And I echo the poster that likes your new layout. Works very nicely with the Snape graphic. Gotta love those Slytherins. [being a Slytherin at heart myself, I can relate].;

It's all Blaise Zabini's fault. I think he seduced my muse.

And thank you again for the hug.

HUGS!

Good gravy on a chicken fried steak! Even my LJ is getting the hits. Thank you. I am glad to see my razor wit embraced. Not everyone approves or appreciates it. I will admit that I do tend to abuse the ability from time to time though.

Again, thank you.

I didn't know it was Hug Your Favourite Author day. Consider yourself hugged. Echoing (no pun intended) the sentiments of a previous commenter, I consider your original works absolutely wonderful. When they are printed, you can be sure that I'll be proudly toting around my personal copy of In Shadowside and Fourth Corner.

I'm working on it.

I also started something new. Brand new. It's the first time since I first started thinking "In Shadowside" that a story idea has come into my head fully realized. Speaking of 4th, I think I need to finish the next part of that and get it posted.

Oh and... thank you.

*Hugs*

I had absolutely no idea that yesterday was Hug Your Favorite Author Day...just goes to show how alert I am of what is going on. Anyways, I must say, your stories are absolutely wonderful and you deserve that exploded inbox. *Hugs*!

A lot of people didn't know. It was just some thing another author came up with the week before. Though for being so thrown together, I do think it worked out rather well.

I don't know if I rightly deserve the inbox though. Thanks for the hugs.

Echo, I have been a fan of your writing from the very first story I read. I especially like the Shadowside books, but Drop in the Ocean was amazing!

For those that would say that fanfic writers are incapable of original thought, I only ask them to read Echo.

Thank you. Especially for liking my original stuff. I've had a lot of people think a lot of us fic writers have nothing original or worthwhile to say. Thank you for thinking I'm one of the ones proving them wrong.

Outing myself in belated honor of Favorite Author Day.

I've been reading your fic for a couple of years. I think I started out reading you at FF.net, which led me to your site, which led me here! I'm on a couple of lists that you moderate (NymphaLuna was an idea whose time had come!), and I have yet to read something of yours that I do not enjoy.

Why do I like your fic?
1. You have a tremendous gift for dialogue
2. You flesh out characters we *think* we already know
3. Your original characters have depth, intelligence, and are
just enjoyable to read
4. You are NOT unfamiliar with the definition of the word "plot". You employ this word regularly. SUCH a happy difference from many other fics and their writers.
5. Even your PWP is fun and smart. As opposed to mind-numbingly stupid.

It really would be too ridiculous to try to pick my favorites out of your work, but I will say that I started out - and am still faithful to - the HP-verse. "I Have Never" and "Ab. Spiffing" are two stand-outs, and I have a deep and abiding affection for the kids of the "Deja Potter Vu" universe - they really are tremendous charaters that stand on their own feet.

It was through your various crossovers that I also came to be familiar with the Angel and Buffy universe(s). I've even begun watching the shows. Hoo boy, now I'm REALLY out of the closet. (And I am rather fond of the Chase Malfoy crossover.)

There you have it - surely not as effusive as some, without doubt freakishly more than others: my paean to EchoFic.

Thank you. Anyone who i influence into watching the shows or reading some books makes me happy.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me they've been reading my fic since it was posted at Eternal Angel or The Bronze. By the time I even started posting at ff.net, I already had quite a collection of just BtVS or AtS fic in portfolio.

And anyone who thinks I'm so fabulous, I invite you to go to the Willow/Spike section of my site and read the first fic I ever wrote. It's very cringe-worthy.
