Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago

I'm the one on the right.

I should NOT do this. I know I shouldn't, but I am a little curious. I may or may not actually read the comments. eta: Now unlocked so you can really go anon if you like.

As writers, we live for comments. We crave them. They are the sustenance to our creative little minds. This little exercise in praise and constructive feedback will let you tell me exactly what you think of my writing. Don't hold anything back. I want to hear it!

Post your comments anonymously (unless you really want to stay logged in, in which that case, don't post them anonymously), and answer the following questions for me.

1. As a writer, what do you think my biggest strength is?

2. What do you think my biggest weakness is?

3. What do you like about my writing?

4. What do you dislike/wish I did better/skip altogether because it's so awful?

5. Am I, in your opinion, a good writer?

6. Which genre of writing do you think I'm best at (ex: angst, humor, fluff, etc.)?

7. Which genre is my weakest?

8. Out of everything I've written (fics, scenes, drabbles), which piece if your favorite?

9. Which piece is your least favorite?

10. Any parting comments/advice/flames?

1. As a writer, what do you think my biggest strength is?
I love your creativeness (yes probably not a word) but you are just so interesting in the worlds you create or even the characters within those worlds

2. What do you think my biggest weakness is?
I think you doubt yourself. That you aren't good enough. Keep going babe because there are people who are totally interested.

3. What do you like about my writing?
I like that it is interesting and easy to follow. I don't get caught up in the language of it but I do get lost in the world that it creates.

4. What do you dislike/wish I did better/skip altogether because it's so awful?\
Nothing, you're amazing :D

5. Am I, in your opinion, a good writer?
See above. :D

6. Which genre of writing do you think I'm best at (ex: angst, humor, fluff, etc.)?
Supernatural humor :D

7. Which genre is my weakest?
I don't think you could be weak at anything

8. Out of everything I've written (fics, scenes, drabbles), which piece if your favorite?
I really can't pick a favourite. I like it all.

9. Which piece is your least favorite?
see above.

10. Any parting comments/advice/flames?
Keep writing babe :D You are awesome

1. As a writer, what do you think my biggest strength is? Your wonderful imagination. That you can take just about any character and weave super stories around them.

2. What do you think my biggest weakness is? As far as fan fiction...leaving some stories unfinished.

3. What do you like about my writing? You make me wish that I were one of your characters, even if one that regularly gets their ass kicked, lol.

4. What do you dislike/wish I did better/skip altogether because it's so awful? Nothing that I can think of.

5. Am I, in your opinion, a good writer? absolutely!!!!

6. Which genre of writing do you think I'm best at (ex: angst, humor, fluff, etc.)? Can't pick because so many of your stories are a wonderful mix.

7. Which genre is my weakest? See answer to #6.

8. Out of everything I've written (fics, scenes, drabbles), which piece if your favorite? Hands down..."A Drop in the Ocean".

9. Which piece is your least favorite? Can't really think of one.

10. Any parting comments/advice/flames? Keep at it. You are a wonderful writer. One day we will be proud to say we knew you when.

1. As a writer, what do you think my biggest strength is?
Definitely your ability to write character. They always come to life on the page. They are heroes with flaws and villains that it's hard to hate entirely and that - I think - is the mark of a good writer.

2. What do you think my biggest weakness is?
Completion, really fantastic stories get left unfinished and that is a tragedy.

3. What do you like about my writing?
Like I said above, your characters are amazing but you also do dialogue fantastically and you manage romance in this really believably intense sort of way.

4. What do you dislike/wish I did better/skip altogether because it's so awful?
I never skip anything all together. I do, sometimes, think that you get caught up in the characters and the larger narrative becomes a bit cloudy for the sake of including the scenes you want to see your characters in.

5. Am I, in your opinion, a good writer?
Yes, absolutely. One of my favorites.

6. Which genre of writing do you think I'm best at (ex: angst, humor, fluff, etc.)?
Humor certainly, friendship fic (your Slytherins are amazing) and romance. As I've said before you write romance the way we feel it, intensely, sometimes uncomfortably and very immediately, which I adore.

7. Which genre is my weakest?
Fluff? Or possibly angst? I feel, mostly that you don't really do fluff and angst. Your characters are too strong to wallow in their angst for long and when I think of fluff I tend to think of substance free drivel which you never do.

8. Out of everything I've written (fics, scenes, drabbles), which piece if your favorite?
Oh man is that ever hard. I love the Shadowside stories but Whisper Society stuff is looking pretty incredible too. I first found your work because of Drop and it will always have a soft and squishy place in my readerly heart.

Oh, Rough Spirits too. I adored Rough Spirits.

9. Which piece is your least favorite?
This is harder than trying to decide what I loved. Possibly Seperate Hearts - I think that was the name - the story about Willow and Harry's twins? I wasn't blown away by it.

10. Any parting comments/advice/flames?
I think you're really fantastic writer but I think that you sometimes lack confidence and that's pretty tragic. You're great and I hope you know that and keep writing.

Speaking of you as a writer, I was having a weird fandom convo with my friend at work (and it literally started with her saying, "I'm so impressed that you know and used the word fandom!" and me saying, "I'm impressed you know the word, too!"

LOL

Anyway. I was talking about HP and BtVS crossovers and mentioned yours and she was like, "I think I've heard that username, actually."

Small world. Or a large one that you are conquering. Either way, I thought that was awesome.
