I swear to the goddess of mercy the next person who mails me and tells me a link on GC is broken is getting the verbal smackdown of their life by way of email. I have officially HAD IT with that riff, people. I'm very aware that the links are down, but if you bothered to actually read the updates section you'd know I'm trying to do something about it. I've been working VERY HARD for the last week to do something about it.

It says right there in the updates section that I'm moving the site, so there won't be any more complaints about broken links, but I need time. This is SO not an overnight job. I happen to have a CRAPLOAD of BtVS and AtS stories. I finished the Willow/Spike, Spike/Cordy, and Dawn/Connor sections and have added various other stories. I just started on the Splinter Stories. I am about to put a notice up on the main menu and the fiction menu of the GC site since some people can't be bothered to read the updates section before mailing me about something I'm already aware of and am working on.

Hell, I've barely been writing anything to try and get these sites up and running, and I keep getting grief from people who can't be bothered to check things before spouting off like I'm keeping them from reading on purpose. Yes, that's me (insert sarcasm here)... evil!echo. I don't want anyone to read my fics that's why I've been digging through old disks and hunting down old websites to try and get everything posted.

And this wouldn't be so bad if it was just one person. No, there have been several emails about the links in the last week for some reason. The ones I got today were the final straws because I put a note up about it in the updates section at GC and sent a mail to the GC yahoo group... yesterday.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

You should just have who ever it is annoying the crap out of you manage your websites, that way it's their problem and you don't have to deal with it.

Well, people have been griping about the way my sites are formatted FOREVER. The new archives are much easier to read and much easier for me to update. So my sites should always be current now. That was also a big problem in the past. It was so time-consuming to update, that I'd put it off and be updating like ten fics at once.

But when I try to remedy that, I get rushed or people don't even bother to read before mailing me asking why I've let my sites go and other inane BS. And why are the links down.

Though surprisingly, after I tossed up the big note (in 2 separate places on the site) with the blinking arrows, no one has mailed me about the broken links. *snicker*

Are you actually replying to these people? Just curious because I stopped replying to anyone asking a question about my sites if the answer is on the site. Especially the awards because those questions tend to be particularilly stupid. Doesn't really remove the stress of having a mailbox full of crap but it now keeps me from saying anything I probably shouldn't to them.

Yes. My replies have been along the lines of... "Those who read the updates section at GC know what's up with the links."

But since I've tossed up the new note (in 2 separate places) on the site warning people that the next person who asked me about broken links was getting to see the full force of my cranky pants, my inbox has been suspiciously devoid of those sorts of mails. *snicker*
