The Crossover Awards

Well, the winnings are in. "A Drop in the Ocean" walked away with five of them. *shakes head* Oh how I love and despise that fic.

And Laura won for her cover art for aDitO!!! Go Laura! I was more excited about that than anything else. Laura's been manipping for me just as long as Amy has. Granted, she hasn't in a while due to her RL turning out so nicely... for which I often find myself smiling. It's just nice to see her get some recognition for her efforts. No matter how past those efforts are.

eta: Laura's manip... for those who might be curious just how talented Laura is with manips.... since it might be a bit difficult to locate on my site. Also, it being here will benefit those who are too lazy to hunt it down on the old fic menu at GC. LOL.

Again. I know.

I know I've posted like a TON for me today, but something very important happened at dinner tonight... and not with my date. *eye roll* I never learn not to accept blind dates. I NEVER LEARN. I just need to find me a loveable nerd person who appreciates the way my mind works. That was NOT what I had tonight. I didn't realize a person could talk about themselves that much. And not in a general knowledge kind of way. I like hearing people tell about themselves the way a history professor might discuss the American Revolution. This was bragging. This was conversation of the 'toot my own horn' variety.

But that's not the point of this post.

You know your date is boring when you start running through fic plots in your head. Well, you know that Madonna song from her Ray of Light CD "The Power of Goodbye"? It came on in the restaurant... and suddenly I decided something about "Snake Charming" that people are NOT going to like, but when they finally figure out what I've actually done with it, it'll be BRILLIANT. You know how Fred talked about the click at the beginning of season 3 of Angel? I heard the f***ing click tonight in that song. I'm sure some of you are reading between the lines here and getting an idea of what I am about to do. All I ask is that when it happens, you recall this post and trust me to know what I'm doing.
