"The Scarlet Letter" is on. So staying up to watch it.

Gary Oldman. *swoon* He is so damnably sexy in this movie. I absolutely hated the book, but the movie is a very poor representation of what the book was. Thank goodness! I am not fond of Hawthorne. He over-explained boring points. But Gary Oldman DOES make the movie rather watchable. Can we say... naked swimming? Bare arse naked swimming.... even some backstroking? Distorted glimpses of his little Gary? *fans self*

If he were the reverend of a church, I'd convert to Christianity, and never miss a Sunday service. Of course my thoughts might not be very... proper while listening to him speak at the pulpit. Plus, if he ever threw a look at me like the ones he throws Hester's way, I'd melt. I almost do anyhow. Plus, his hands are amazing. He so has the manhands. I envy Demi Moore here.

*sigh*

I'd make the biggest fool of myself if I were ever in that man's presence.

Heathers if you want darbn good flick rife with dark humor. The Scarlet Letter if you want to see a semi-bad period piece in which Gary Oldman is naked, wet, and darned sexy, and also has "smoke and mirrors" sex with Demi Moore and gives a lot of distressed and longing looks.

Heathers is on my list of movies that people should see. Hmmm, maybe I'll do that one day.... make a list of movies I think people should see. Not necessarily my faves, just ones I think you should know about pop culturally, stylistically, and cinematically.

As for the icon, it certainly is a Lil Amy creation. She sent me two new W/Snape ones, and I got my Flint/Bell one from her site.
