6. What's your current fandom love(s) and/or ship(s)?

I believe I've mentioned the Captain Swan. I am so about Emma and Hook on Once Upon a Time that it is not even funny.

I so want a Black Widow and Hawkeye movie because Clint and Natasha have MAD UST (Avengers).

I kind of want Elijah to hook up with Hayley for some odd reason, and I would so love more Marcel and Rebekah on The Originals.

My weird SPN ship was Castiel/Meg. Still is, dead Meg or not.

I kind of dig Felicity/Oliver on Arrow because Laurel is kind of a cunt, pardon my language.

And I have a crush on Thor's arms.

5. What show from your childhood would you love to bring back?

I was more into movies as a child rather than shows, and I'm not a fan of reboots or re-imaginings usually. Honestly, I'd love to have Firefly back. I'd take Buffy being back on the air in a heartbeat, but only if Joss was showrunner.

There was a show in the mid-90s called Kindred the Embraced. I would honestly like to see that show redone. It wasn't bad for the 90s, and it was before its time. I think if it had premiered after season 2 of Buffy, like circa 1998 or later, it would have done better. I also think if the lead actor had not died in a motorcycle accident, it would have stood a better chance as well.

You know what I'd also like to see? A remake of North and South. Just Books I and II, not that Heaven and Hell crap. That epic mini-series was where it was at when I was in 5th grade. Everyone tuned in to see what was going to happen with Orry and George, to see what shit Ashton was going to pull next, not to mention what shit Virgilia was going to pull next, whether or not Brett or Ashton was going to end up with Billy, and if Orry and Madeline would ever find a way to be together. It was epic. EPIC.

4. Share your favorite stories (with links!) from your first fandom love(s)/ship(s). Tell us why you still love them.

Yeah, that's not happening. No time to compile links. I need to get about 2K in words out tonight, but if you're really curious, read anything by Davesmom. I recently reread her stuff even though it is on the den of evil (FF.net). Her fanfic got me into D/G. I still love that ship because I love the bad boy and the good girl.

Honestly my favorite original OTP book is called "The Courtship of Princess Leia" by Dave Wolverton. There's a scene where C3PO is singing a song extolling Han's values. It's HILARIOUS. I'm giggling just thinking about it.

3. What was your first fandom love(s)? Your first ship(s)?

Oh LORD.

I have SO MANY fandom loves, but I was in love with Spike from the moment I clapped eyes on him - even though he was the bad guy. That's the one who stands out in my mind the most because I was very glad he made it to the end of that episode, and I longed to see him again. I love all versions of Spike, even William. They all make up who he is, but I think I liked him on Angel the most. Their love-hate bromance-y moments still make me laugh. Especially the puppet episode.

Ships? Honestly? Han/Leia. I was so about that as a little girl.

When I became a fic writer, my first fic was Spike/Willow. I think the one that got me the most "notoriety" was Willow/Snape and I wasn't even the first one to ship them. I was not exactly known for writing canon ships. Despite that old nasty epilogue, I still ship Draco/Ginny.

And in some fandom wiki somewhere I am credited with starting the Blaise/Luna ship. I feel quite proud of that one.

Currently, I ship Captain Swan. Yes, I still have a thing for the bad boy and the good girl.

Imma post my answer the day AFTER everyone else.

But only if I think the questions are interesting.

When did you create your LJ, and what brought you here? How did you get your username? Has it changed?

Jesus Christ monkey balls, I created this LJ almost 10 years ago. It will officically be 10 years on Nov 18th. I think I was brought here by Jinni, you know, the creator of TtH. She used to be really into blogging before she went all... how she went. I liked it because that's how I kept up with people. Now I use facebook and twitter for that. More facebook. Anyone who's read my tweets knows I usually don't go for the personal there. I know I originally used LJ to post updates to my old website. Yeah, I know. My name? It's a nickname, and echo was taken. I think spankerella was born of the fact that I will knock the crap out someone but can look like a princess too. It's a duality thing. I have lots of that. It has not changed in all the years I have had this LJ, nor is it likely to. If people don't know after 10 years that spankerella = "that" echo, then there's a problem, I think.

I ended my word could on a good note yesterday. I feel good about it. I can do this. I have so many words in my head. I should be able yo bang out 50k more, right? Yeah. Sure. I just hope people aren't disappointed in the ending to "The Fourth Corner". It doesn't end well, and I think what happens might shock a few readers, but please keep in mind that it is the middle book in a trilogy, and what "middle" in another trilogy do I love? That's right - Empire Strikes Back. Did that one end well? Decidedly not. Han's frozen in carbonite and Luke lost a hand. Not fun times. But there was hope.

I am also getting ready to go out of town for a writer's retreat. I expect to get a crap-ton done then. After this last week at work, I am ready to get away.

I've had a pretty good start to my nanowrimo this year. I am working on the ending to "The Fourth Corner". Yes, you read that correctly. I figure about 50 K in words ought to wrap it up. I had to scrap the original ending, so that's what I am writing. From chapter 20 on was completely scrapped. With the way the rewrites went, the ending has gone in a totally different direction, but that happens sometimes. However, before I started the ending for nano, the rewritten first 2/3's of it weighed in at 119,852 words. I can do this shit!

I believe I also mentioned that I am attempting to do nablopomo, hence these posts when I usually don't blog anymore. 30 posts in 30 days. It will be the most action this LJ has seen in YEARS. But I will also be tweeting about nanowrimo and posting word count updates to my Liz Ashe the Writer facebook page. Yes, that's what it's called. Shut up, and go like the page. :P
