Interesting weekend. I worked, still went out, nearly went comatose due to lack of sleep. I need to quit doing shots of tequila. I have come to that conclusion. Next time I go dancing, I will not wear heels.

If anyone watched the weather this past weekend, Texas got hit. Places in my home town flood. In fact, [livejournal.com profile] camperx and I were going under an overpass in his car when it stalled out due to flooding. There was only a brief moment of panic on my part when the car started to rock like a boat on water. Overall it was an adventure. I'll do almost anything at least once. LOL. He had to push the car while I steered it out of the water. My mom and my brother had to come to try and help. We needed a jump by then because we'd ran down the battery trying to start the car, and then it still wouldn't start yesterday because the engine was all nice and wet. It started this morning though, and he's now safe and sound back in Austin.

And apparently not horrified by the sight of me walking out this morning with my crazy bedhair, glasses, and funky gray PJs. I hope my affinity for Forrest Gump was not too frightening. It was on late last night, and I watched the whole thing. I even quoted a bit of it. I love that movie. It takes me back to a different time in my life.

I wish my book would go up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I am keeping watch.

So far the weather has not caused anyone to back out on the Narnia outing. I'm waiting though. I expect some flaking. It's bad out there, and I don't know how brave we are. I still want to go, but I don't know if anyone will feel like driving. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to go. It'll make me sad, but I won't be mad or anything.

I'm hoping conditions improve.

Also, I found Mark Two on LJ. Interesting.
